Our 20th gardening giveaway video focuses on sourcing certified seed potatoes. Even though we have seed potatoes from the harvests of previous seasons, we want to try a few new varieties of potatoes. The problem is that seed potatoes often go out of stock quickly in our area, and I am sure many of you can relate to this.

Wood Prairie Farm name has been floating around on a lot of channels I've been watching. I'll check them out. I'd rather pay the higher price for great quality 👌 than cheaper price and no harvest!

Congrats to the winner! I have not heard of Wood Prairie before. I live in zone 7b I have ordered seed potatoes from both Urban Gardens and Hoss Tools. Both ship in mid-April to my location. With information on Wood Prairie from you, I now have a source to purchase sooner so I would be able to start potatoes indoors for early planting, as well as a 2nd planting. Great seeing you tonight!

Congratulations, it is mind boggling how many varieties of potatoes. I think that is one of the things I have enjoyed about gardening, discovering new varieties. Growing up I thought what was available in the store was it, oh joy how wrong I was.

We got some really good fingerling potatoes from Menards last year.
I always have a hard time finding seed potatoes in Toronto so for the last few years I have just been buying organic potatoes from grocery store but variety is limited

Can you plant sprouted greened up potatoes? They would not be useful for eating.

I ordered two varieties from Wood Prairie Farm this year, yes they are expensive but we only live once. I got the Sarpo Mira and Butte, I’ve been looking for the Sarpo Mira for a couple of years so when I saw they had them cost wasn’t even considered. In Southern California I plant potatoes in February so only a couple of weeks away.
