aquaponics setup works great
The patio area above the garage, seems it needs to be covered to me. Thinking of the time of year it will be utilized and sun exposure, just thinking out loud.
That mound of dirt is a perfect shooting berm for you to use when you now gotta fill up your new pewpew safe 😎
Having a good dirt/grading guy is huge. That is where it all starts on the ground. I have my own "Chad" who also does my clearing and septics. He runs a skid steer and backhoe like it is an extension of himself. He is on point when it comes to "finding dirt" or making excess dirt "disappear", if you know what I mean. And you can't even tell.
QUESTION – I am genuinely curious about the garage roof will handle the freeze and thaw over the seasons. Cracks might occur over time… which in my mind would create a leaky roof in your garage now???
Beautiful house
Doesnt one of the houses look into the back of flairs house though? Across the trees where the pole barn is aswell, just a thought!
Snow on the ground and chads in a short sleeve.
Can't wait to see your house when it's finished.
So in order to do laundry when you're in the master bedroom you have to walk through the kitchen and entryway to get to the washer/dryer? A laundry chute through the bathroom wall into the laundry area would be convenient
Well u never have to worry about that patio rotting.
You could look into having a camp/summer kitchen. It's basically a gazebo/bbq area/outdoor kitchen/eating area set seprately from the main house. You can leave it open or partially screen/glass it in to keep bugs out. Usually they're about 30×30, but can be as big or small as you want.
I got those same socks right there brad lol 😂
Remember on barn, you will need water, electricity, and maybe gas.
Good looking plans cant wait to see it come to life. Would it be possible to share some rough numbers on the construction cost of this home at current market prices?
This is so exciting! The house plans look fantastic. Just to confirm, is the first house you went over going to be for Nate and Max? While the house with the pool will be for you and your wife? After all, you have to have a water source nearby if she likes fire so much, haha! It'll be wonderful to be out in the country. You can honk your horn as much as you want and nobody will know!
You are a blessed man, Brad. I look forward to seeing these projects as they develop.
Thanks for bringing us along!

Amazing work chad love the work
With all the gardening and you mentioning chickens, wouldn't it be a good thing to dig out a small size pond that you can can supply water to the garden and chickens from? I guess chickens don't really require much in a smaller scale but just figured a way to collect free rain water close by might not be a bad thing. I guess now while typing this it might just be better to collect rainwater from roof and funnel into a watertank instead of having a small unhabitated pond maybe become a cesspool.. lol. Anyway, I like the build and looking forward to future videos, best of luck with the build Brad.
one heavy rain fall and it looks like the garage will flood with that door being on the slope side.
Hey Brad and team, my wife and I are currently in the search for our next home. Not finding too many in our "likes" and definitely some needs. What are some of the benefits of building vs buying already built?
I have a couple of ideas Brad.
1. What if you take one design feature from some of the houses you've built and incorporate them into your build. Like what you did with the trash chute from Flair's.
2. What about making a video of how you came to be Brad the Builder. What inspired you to go into architecture? What were some of the highs and lows throughout your career, etc.
Would have thought u would have wanted a ranch house for when ur older u don’t have to use stairs as much
Wow I looked down and mindlessly wasn’t even subscribed. I watch almost all your videos and didn’t even realize😂
Wow, I love your floor plans, that took a long of planning to do, also love what your outside of house looks like can't wait to see the finished outcome inside and out.& your green house & guest house
A deck off the 2nd floor family room would be amazing then you have a covered space on first floor to
Really excited to see how it all comes together
I love the patio over the garage idea, I wish I could afford to build my own house. I’d love to build a barndominium on a couple acres but everything is ridiculously expensive now. Love your vision
Thanks for the video.
hit up a youtube pole barn builder
Heck I wouldn't worry about a horse.. they'll have Ralph to play with…
I can't wait to see you and Flair as neighbors
LMAO waiting to see the videos
All this time hearing Chads name on Flairs videos, and I dont know if I had ever seen his face until today….maybe once.
Man to have a good dirt guy like Chad is priceless
