If people get stressed out by dirt maybe they should find another dirt less channel to watch? Just a thought. ❄️💚🙃
Would it be ok, if I were to show your channel to my wife….she always on my case for having palms inside. Bismarck in the lobby, windmill in the dining room some majesty in the bedroom 😁😁 My obsession with tropical is nothing compared to yours.😉
Is your banana plant an edible banana plant? I am determined to grow another banana plant someday before I croak. I had a beautiful one that the cats loved using as a toilet and It was huge, I didn’t have a spot for it so it went bye bye. I’m regretting that now. ❄️💚🙃
I still have my Christmas decorations up, they bring joy and beauty this time of year when everything is dark and dismal outside. This sounds weird, which I am, but if we had snow everything would look so much better outside, the snow would cover up all of the dead stuff, or I should say sleeping plants. ❄️💚🙃
I know everyone hates spider mites, I really HATE them, I don’t know how many plants I’ve lost to them. Mostly because once I have them I CAN’T get rid of them so the plant usually has to go. ❄️💚🙃
I’m tickled pink this winter with my plants. They’re growing really well. I guess because I don’t have nearly as many of them I’m taking much better care of them. Because my anxiety has kicked in I haven’t set up my grow room yet which really makes me sad but I still can’t overcome my anxiety. Maybe todays the day or not. I’m just afraid what I have planned isn’t going to work. And most likely it won’t. That happens a lot with me so why bother right? ❄️💚🙃
I think I told you about the Thai constellation and philodendron splendid I got for Christmas. I am so on the fence about whether or not to repot them. They’re in such a heavy potting mix I’m worried about them getting root rot. Why don’t growers plant them in the soil that they will prosper in? If they’re not actively growing I’m afraid that I’m going to killed them by repotting them. That really gets my anxiety in over drive because if I lose those plants I will probably never get them again. ❄️💚🙃
Thanks Jeff, hope to see next week, stay safe, stay healthy and stay away from the cactus when your on a ladder ! ❄️💚🙃
I have a terrible spider mite problem on my patio when the air gets drier. Neem oil works but it stinks. I have banned impatiens & pentas from my patio as they seem to be their favorite meals.
Always enjoy your video…no problem a little dirt…its part of doing plants…hey I'm trying a new homemade spray…….1 cup water add 1 Tsp. Cinnamon….bring to boil…let cool pour through coffee filter use as a spray on plants…bugs dont like it…I'm coating all sides orchids and leave it on for mealy bugs….no harm to plants. Also top spray all other plants with any sign bugs…mist from top…besides it smells good, and is harmless…..Seems to be working. Sending hugs thanks for sharing your videos.
Dirt is nature's immune system booster.
Spider mite cuttings – throw them in the sink with soapy water, problem solved lol
Did you order the sachets this time? I have been using them (2-3) on problematic plants (heliconia, cordylines, and indoor alocasias) at 6 week intervals. Its worked wonderfully.
Did you originally put any predatory mites on the crotons? Maybe they moved to them because there were less predators?
Perhaps you can try the sulfur hot box to deal with the pests? The issue is that it needs to run at night, with no fans running and then be vented in the morning, so you wouldn't be able to use it when cold. Or you could try Spinosad, which you should still be able to use without killing the predator mites.
Crotons and spider mites go hand in hand for me.
