  1. Thanks for sharing! I've decided to go for landscape fabric this year since:
    1) I can't find any tarps that will last more than a summer, the hot summer sun destroyed most. I already know landscape fabric will last a few years for me
    2) I can cut LF to cover a bed almost exactly (10m^2), and I can roll these out by myself, no need for a second pair of hands like with the bigger heavier tarps.
I did like that tarps keep the rain off in the very wet spring, but as my soil improves away from heavy clay it won't be a problem for much longer

  2. An interesting variation on the methods of others, thank you for sharing. Do you suffer with slugs where you are, I found black plastic useful but the slugs loved it as a home and hammered anything grown near it. All the best from the Highlands of Scotland. 👍

  3. Hello Dario! Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
Question: what is the purpose of putting the tarp over the carboard+compost? Can you just plant into the compost without placing the tarp on top? (As far as i have understood the cardboard will already take care of the occultation)
    Thanks🙏
