  1. So many prepper channels that are taking advantage of all of our fears while they are being compensated. Thank you for your honesty.

  2. Not a regret because it was the right decision at the time. When I could afford a better dehydrator, I passed the starter unit on

  3. Canned salmon can be mixed up as is to make salmon patties, the bones are soft and mash easily (calcium), the skin is free of scales and contains Omega 3. I add dried onions, parsley, sesame seeds, finely diced celery and/or red bell pepper, 1 egg per can, cracker crumbs and a little evaporated milk. My cats get the broth from the can. Pan fry in olive oil or coconut oil and voila! Tasty and healthy.

  4. I am shocked that the freeze dryer did not make the list. Is it just cost or is it not worth it?

  5. Or, we watch too many 'so-called' Prepper channels that tell us what we need because they are "affiliates".
Prepper channels have been hijacked by extreme right wing 'comservstive' extremists and are all bull crap. Or that God is "on their side".
Prepping is neither a political or theological ideology. As such I AM NOT A PREPPER but rather, I am a homesteader. Started my first homestead in 1973 and live the lifestyle unlike many channel operators who weren't even born in 1973. I won't call them "content creators" because they create nothing, only regurgitate and plagiarize the work of others. The only thing that most Preppers create is divisiveness, dissent, hatred, misinformation and even lies.

  6. Oh my gracious 😮 I wish that you knew how nutritious the bones in salmon are. They are soft and easy to mash and put in fish chowder – you do not even feel/taste them. Very nutritious! I encourage you to research that.

  7. I keep doing so much research on buying a dual fuel generator and solar panels and get so much conflicting information that I haven’t bought one 😏

  8. Question on the inverter generator @12min., you said it works with propane or gas. Do you mean gasoline or natural gas? Thanks.

  9. Smaller solar power packs for camping. Bought a total of 10 and 8 quit after being rained on. Not soaked or submerged. Just rained on. How can you advertise being used in an emergency, when they are ruined by a sprinkle?

  10. My buyers remorse is those tall glass pillar candles from Dollar Tree. Uffdah do they stink! They smell toxic…like burning plastic.
Only way I’d burn them is outside! 😷🥴
Other than that…I really have no regrets. Probably because I watch channels like yours that offer realistic advice! Thanks for that 😊

  11. The BEST prepper gear I have in my back pack, I have used the MOST, is MONEY, $20 bills. Absolutely best prep I ever had.

  12. I have buyer's remorse for paying 50k for solar panels. They arent substandard but I was overcharged for them by a ton as a package deal.

  13. I suppose I regret that the backpacks I purchased to become bug out bags were camouflage. Knowing what I know now I probably would have purchased something a little more basic in appearance. Camouflage might be great when actually in the wilderness, but it's getting to the wilderness when they can really stand out.

  14. Hand crank emergency radio receivers!! They are all JUNK! I've tried several and they are basically cheap toys. I would never depend on one in a survival setting. I wouldn't mind paying more If I could find one built better. I ended up buying the CountyComm GP-7 receiver. It doesn't have a hand crank, but it is very small (portable), stingy on power (so I can easily recharge it from my solar generator), and (most importantly) it receives EVERYTHING (including single side band transmissions). I gain nothing promoting this radio receiver.

  15. You can use the word "Covid"; you just can't say anything negative about vaccines.

Radios are a good item to have for collecting information, but you'll need a license for two-way communications, so I would not recommend those, until AFTER you get an Amateur radio license.

Many of my :preparedness" things are used for camping or backpacking.

  16. In many cases, anyone that has cooking experience knows that Canned Salmon requires a bit of hand processing to prepare for cooking. Canned Tuna is another matter. One can eat it right out of the can. Goes great with crackers.
