  1. Hi Allen! I LOVE watching your YouTube channel! I live in zone 9 and most everyone in this area has St Augustine grass. I like what you stated regarding the longer grass blades, to protect the roots. I usually set my mower blades at 7”, as I was taught that the longer the blade, the deeper the roots, that will also protect the grass from the intense heat and dry spells that we have down here in Florida. I set my irrigation system to start at 0400, which means the cycle is completed by sunrise. Thank you so much for all the gardening knowledge! ❤️
