Tiny Tomato Project!! πŸ…:: Micro Dwarf Tomatoes :: Small Space and Container Gardening zone 9b

β€œPlant seeds of happiness, hope, success, and love: it will all come back to you in abundance. This is the law of nature.” -Steve Maraboli

Welcome to my garden! Today I am introducing my β€œTiny Tomato Project” which is actually micro dwarf tomatoes! Micro Dwarf Tomatoes are so small that they can be grown in 1/2 to 1 gallon pots on your patio. I love this idea since it won’t take any garden bed space from my flowers! πŸ… Enjoy!

  1. I ordered those tiny tomatoes πŸ… also !! Very excited to grow them πŸ…πŸ…. I love your sweatshirt!! Will you maybe have them available for purchase ? I would love one πŸ₯°πŸ₯°πŸ₯°. By the way we have 2 foot of snow ❄️ coming starting tonight πŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺ. Have a great day πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

  2. Good morning! Such cute little tomato plants! You might want to use a glazed pot for the tomatoes though. As hot as it gets there in Davis, you'll have to water the terracotta pots a couple of times a day. I love Baker Seeds. Did you know they have a store in Petaluma? I stopped by there a while back on a way to my friends house in Windsor but they were closed due to Covid (rats!). Oh, and love the shirt!!

  3. We have a greenhouse window in my kitchen. I haven’t heard of the tiny tomato version, that might be fun to try inside! I do mostly veggies in my gardens outside. I think I had 6 or 7 varieties of indeterminate tomatoes last year. Thanks for this new idea! Also love your sweatshirt!

  4. Oh I hope they do start a YouTube channel because it's the only Social Media I got. 😊 These toms are so stink'n cute.

  5. I am excited to see how they grow. I have a small yard also and love flowers and hate to give up space for vegetables but I have found a few that are pretty mixed in with my flowers. Carrots have beautiful foliage and flowers. You have to wait until the second year for the bloom. Swiss char and chives and eggplant are some that I mix in as well. I started doing it after visiting a private garden during our annual Azalea Trail and wondered what plans were they using to fill the beds it was lettuce and Swiss char and carrots. It was beautiful I never would have thought it could be so pretty.

  6. Hi! I have trouble getting birds and bees to stop at my tomato plants' blossoms on my second story balcony, so I get blossoms but no fruit. What can I do?

  7. I'm starting my Orange Hat seeds today, too! Along with all my other tomatoes, peppers and eggplants πŸ™‚

  8. Those sound like they might be able to grow in coastal areas like mine, where we do not get a lot of sun.

  9. Tiny Tomato Town, such a cute name. I tried regular old tomatoes a couple years ago (along with some other veggies) and it was too much work for me. These sound more my speed. πŸ˜‰ Merch! Cute sweatshirt. Thanks for another great video!

  10. I love this tiny tomato project! πŸ… ❀ Will be lovely among your flowers. I'm trying "Spoon" tomatoes from Bakers Creek this year – something different to experiment with πŸ˜‹

  11. I loved the timing on the video I had the same idea to start some micro tomatoes to blend in the garden beds. I did get the Orange hat and wanted a sweet pop so I skipped the Tom Thumb. Thank you so much for introducing me to the Renaissance Farms and the variety available πŸ€©πŸ™Œso excited to get shopping and to see the updates on your seeds!

  12. Oooh! I can’t wait to see how these do for you. I’d like to try this next year. πŸ˜ƒ

  13. I love micro tomatoes! I'm a little obsessed with them. This season I'm starting 15+ varieties. Last year I loved canary, Vilma, bajaja and ola polka yummy. Curtis is so cool. Great video.
