Great video. Thanks! I haven't been successful at this, and now I know why. I've been doing it at the wrong time of the year. Can't wait to try it again very soon. Also, I hope you didn't throw those lovely rosemary leaves away. I'd have to roast some type of meat with them or chop them up and dry them. Or, at the very least, pop them into some mesh bags and put them in your clothing drawers as a sachet. The smell is wonderful!
👍🏻🇨🇦
Do you fertilize them, as they're growing? If so, what is a good fertilizer and how often?
Your Facebook group is so mismanaged it gave me the kick in the pants I needed to quit FB for good. I'm not here trying to make mean YouTube comments. I genuinely think you need to reevaluate how you do things in your group. The incident I'm thinking of was a few years ago and I'm still left flabbergasted. Despite that I wish you the best and hope things are well.
Awesome. Just started rooting some using honey to help …
Guess I’m trying this again! Thank you for explaining this like I’m 5, sometimes I need my hand held through the process after so many failures in the past!
Jeff, good morning!
I Love Rosemary, thank you for your help. It's an amazing scent.
Can you do cutting from steva plant
Thanks for sharing!!!😊
I love the taste and smell of Rosemary, also looks like a cute bonsai.
Love your technique and detailed way of teaching. Thank you so much! I can never have enough rosemary with it's culinary and medicinal benefits. 💕
Great video, I'll try it, because I have tried it before, and it wouldn't root!
Thank you🌿
Thank you
I guess my phone has been listening to me talk about taking cuttings of my exit rosemary plants to multiple in my backyard around my chicken coop and your video pops up without me googling it. Perfect timing. I'm on it this morning. I'll grow at least 20-40 new rosemary plants. I love that smell in my yard and the chickens don't bother it.
Great video! Thank you!
Will rosemary grow in winter climates, zone 5?
Just in time to take cuttings and grow some new rosemary plants! Thx
Hi Jeff. Great video with lots of useful tips on how to propogate Rosemary, im currently doing this & hoping they root. Thanks for sharing and take care 🙂
Wow! Awesome information. My Rosemary plant is still outdoor surviving in the Massachusetts Cold. The whole plant is less than 8 inches, so hopefully I get some growth before spring so I can get some cuttings to transplant.
Hands down, best rosemary rooting tutorial. 😎
when the roots grow out of the top of the stem, would there be any need to remove the bottom green leaves before planting?
I went to Plan B on the Rosemary and planted the seeds in a tray and they have sprouted. I will thin and transplant to pots when they get a couple inches tall.
The last two store-bought cuttings croaked. My Oregano and Cilantro seeds have also sprouted, but the Spearmint has not, yet. I still have Sage, Thyme and Basil to plant.
1/29/23.
Do you pinch out the tip when planting the rooted cuttings to make the plant bush out or does it do that naturally?
