  1. I’m getting some feedback that there’s a ringing sound in some parts of the video. I do not hear it on my end but will take a look at my mic settings to make sure I sort that out for future videos. Thanks for watching. 💛

  2. I think the ringing sound may be due to a distant wind chime? You can hear it while you're potting the coriander.

  3. Love the idea of knocking the wall down to create a bigger kitchen or butlers pantry. Just double check the building code on number of doors required between kitchens and toilets. It was definitely two doors back at the turn of the century. However there might now be exemptions with good fans etc.

  4. Nice relaxing vid, thank you, except I was having kittens watching you with the potting mix so close to your face. Legionnaires disease lurks in the potting mix here (not sure if in other countries) and can be fatal. Masks recommended but of course people make their own call on that. 🙂

  5. Americans who move here (specifically this couple) really love to bring us and our way of life down. Hanging your washing outside is not some foreign crazy concept. We do have sushi restaurants that you can go to for dinner. I'm not sure why you'd consider moving here if every single thing that is normal for us here you have to compare to America or share all the things you deem as flaws. This is New Zealand, not America. You make a mockery out of what you think New Zealand is behind on and then equally try to use normal kiwi things that fit your aesthetic to sell an unrealistic lifestyle online. Before deleting this comment like you do with every criticism, actually have a think about what you say about our home before you make public comments and critique it.

  6. Air bib would be very cool. I wonder if you could do a high up reclaimed window from the bathroom wall to get some light in there. Agree, there’s nothing like fresh aired sheets! I’m a month of so from your gorgeous weather, looks like. Lovely day by you.

  7. Wonderful video Carrie. Things are looking fab! Gorgeous neighbours.
Wow look at all that yummy yarrow growing, one of my fave wairakau/herbal weed teas! It has a trillion health benefits. I like to dry and use as a tonic in winter colds season. I have never grown cilantro but have always wanted to, you have given me the motivation to do it, YUM and thank you! Be blessed, mauri ora!

  8. So much love for your sweet homestead! Love the updates, the granny flat is so exciting!

  9. The ending of this video brought happy tears to my eyes. What a magical life, this is truly what I envision in my future. So beautiful Carrie❤

  10. I love that we are in opposite seasons because your videos make me dream of the season ahead. I try to enjoy and experience the season that we are in as much as possible but it's nice to get a little break from winter and daydream of sunshine! I'm writing this from Canada, looking at a couple feet of snow 😅

  11. i love that your now in the same season as me! i often get fomo because most people i watch live in the norther hemisphere and are always in the opposite season.
You really help me appreciate the simple kiwi summer and i love it!

  12. Can you send a link or name the song and artist of the song you played at the end of your video please.

  13. Carrie. Not a criticism just a cultural term. Here in NZ the Farming community refer to " The Homestead " as the main house on a Farm or Station with several houses usually where the owner lives. We don't have a history of Homesteading like the Oklahoma settlement in the US so The Homestead means something completely different here.

  14. At the end of the video I presume the electric fence was turned off?! Nice content as usual Carrie. Don't pay any attention to those who care to criticise for the sake of it!

  15. Everything is moving along fantastically and looking so so good. I find myself being enthused by your posts. How are your stone fruit, we have lost all ours just past the blossom stage. Not sure if it's just a Wairarapa thing or not
