  1. I was hoping to see you cut back the ascot rainbow. I planted a couple of them this past summer for the first time and I’m not sure how to prune it. There’s still some really pretty top growth but there’s also some new growth coming up from the ground. I wasn’t sure if/how I should prune it.

  2. The pines are my favorite part of your garden- I love all of the textures – very magical space. I picked up 3 helabores in my supermarket (zone 5b- last frost 1st or 2nd week of May). They were strong and healthy in the store. They seem to be slowly dying on my window sill- any advice on when to put them outside? Love your videos!

  3. I have been a viewer for about 1yr and find myself eagerly awaiting your postings. I live in the woods in zone 5b. But today my comment is about your wonderful sassy GSD Brynna. We have had 5 GSD's and our ages are now such that a dog is no longer an option. Sooo watching your Brynna brings such joy to me. Hope to visit the nursery in early April. Oh yes, forgot to mention I am a gardener!!!!

  4. Hi Jenny – I'm in Baltimore 7b and my Ascott Rainbow stems are all intact with a deep reddish color. It must be happy where it is – it gets good morning sun and afternoon shade. I think I'll plant more hellebores this year too!

  5. Zone 6b at the west end of Lake Ontario. We are getting 10 inches of snow today and overnight. I’m planning my borders and sorting my seeds. I have a few winter sown seeds outside and Lisianthus under lights but waiting another month at least to do pruning and clean up. I have flower buds on my hellebores under the snow. 😊 Enjoyed your video. Thanks.

  6. I keep missing your response to my question about your hori hori knife. Would you tell me where you got it or the brand name? I've been planting enough trees to hopefully be able to garden in mostly shade in the next few years! I love shade gardening!

  7. Thank you so much for sharing this information with us. Brenna is so sweet and wants all of your attention Jenny! How can you resist? 😊❤ You’re making me want another beautiful German Shepherd as my boy passed away in 2012.

  8. I fell in love with the Solomon Seal plants when I visited your nursery last year! What plants are the Little Redheads? I think I would like to have some of those.

  9. I live in the Finger Lakes region of New York and we finally have snow. I cannot wait to be able to be outdoors again. Love your channel!!

  10. I enjoy the personal side you choose to share, the commercial/retail and very much enjoy your PR Director, Ms. B🙂

  11. I wanna get some ferns this year to hang under my porch.
    Are they all perennials?

  12. Hi, Jenny, greetings from Sarajevo. Great video as always. I just wanted to comment on your ferns… I think they are lady fern or male fern. Athyrium filix. Keep doing the good work.

  13. I’m born in north of Sweden, and they have about 1,3 meters of snow right now! 😱 Nowadays I live on beautiful island Gotland with the mildest climate there is here. No snow, daffodils, tulips and other bulbs are popping up and my hellebores are blooming. I’m so grateful. 😅

  14. Just wanted to say how much I appreciate hearing what plants withstand dogs and kids play! It lets me know what will survive better for me.

  15. We’ve got a bunch of pines too! Now I feel like I need to clean up underneath and put some shade plants!

  16. Jenny,
I have an area beneath a 30' tall, limbed up cypress where the Fall in Love Sweetly anemonies would look lovely, but it can be a wee bit dry there. Do you think they can handle it?
    Thank you. 😊

  17. I love all your videos! They are so helpful. I believe you said in one of your videos what type of garden bag you use for the debris but can’t seem to find it again. What kind do you have?

  18. Hi Jenny! I have Lenten Roses in my garden, West Michigan zone 6b. Last week they where showing blooms. Just received 6 inches of snow, they are really Hardy! 🌼🐝

  19. Hi Jenny. I was cutting back my autumn ferns & Japanese Holly ferns today bcz they were looking brown & tattered from the winter cold blast we had in December. Otherwise I’d leave them alone.

  20. This is an absolutely awesome video and something I have been looking for to push myself as a gardener and a plant person. So I truly appreciate something like you create and help others as well to learn and try the tricks and tips for someone as well. Just a big thank to you for this and wish you all the best 🙂
