  1. Do you have any videos of starting black berries and grapes ? I want to start a container garden with and I want to learn everything.

  2. Awesome gardening. It's so fulfilling to watch your videos.
I feel pity for those 5 people who clicked the 'dislike' button which made me wonder as to what is there to dislike in this video…

  3. I love the cheeky possum munching on your veg! We don't have them here in the UK so it's lovely to see them in your videos 🙂

  4. you should get a owl statue if you dont already have one because 9 times out of 10 the rodent eating the plants will see the statue and run away

  5. It's so cute how the deer keeps coming back for a late night snack .. I wouldn't mind it to eat my tomatoes if I had such a nice visit ^^"

  6. Sorry the possum got into the garden, they usually go after my chickens so of course were on my list. Right now the chickens are gone and since finding out possums kill snakes they have been tolerated. For awhile something was stealing food and water from my cat on the porch, one night I put my hand down to the ball of fluff by the dish and it didn't start puring when I started talking to it. I grabbed my hand back, when inside to get a flashlight and found a possum there just lying there looking at me! Scared me have to death but I scared it too.

  7. Hey, Beets. it looks like you get plenty of food for your efforts, so why not share with God's creatures? Is this why you grow some things on your deck, so they won't get munched?
It also looks like the animals don't come around until later in the harvest. But….IF you WANT to deter them a little bit, these are 4 things I know work. 1) dribble/pour human or other predator pee around the perimeter, or hang pieces of strong bar soap, (Irish spring, etc.) on your trellises and refresh after rains…
    2) Very easy perimeter fence…2 strings, literally. 1st string deer chest height, & 2nd string to the garden side, 2' away, 6" to 12" lower. the deer will be uneasy about the landing footing, and won't jump it. If you already have fencing they jump, do this outside of the installed fence, maybe 6' away. You'll have to play around with it, and switch/add things around occasionally, (sound-tin can lids rubbing against each other, radio playing & movement- silver tape, etc.). this doesn't have to be terribly sturdy…the extras get switched around, so they don't get used to any one deterrent.
    3) silver leaved, strong smelling (Herby stuff) plants deter deer- idk if they even grow in your area, though. look at C(Colorado)SU extension service website to see specifics on deterring deer/rabbits, too.
    4) Companion plant, like basil/tomatoes…something strong scented they don't like, next to what they want, to mask the scent of desired food. These suggestions are only if you want to deter them. IDK about possum deterrents. I had them on my farm in Kansas…they weren't a problem until one got in my chicken coop. it had to go😯. But other than that, I had no problems with wildlife. My then husband killed my resident bullsnake because it scared him. Boy, was I mad!!!
The natural world is lovely. I like how you don't fight with it💗🐾. One more thing. Aphids die when you wash them off with a strong jet of water. Repeat the jet of H²O 3 days later… that should be enough, but check a week beyond that to make sure. Neem is good, but expensive, and kills more than your target pest. That smell might deter the deer, too, however!!
    I enjoy your posts

  8. What a smorgasbord for those deer, words gotten out it’s your place for a midnight snack!

  9. I have a friend who pickles some of his lettuce/cabbage seed pods ~ they were a nice surprise.

  10. One easy way to keep deer out of your garden, IF you didnt want to share so generously, is Human Hair. Each time you get your hair cut, save it and put it in a panty hose. Simply hang those around your garden. If you do not cut your hair, like me, ask around the local barber shops (make sure you use gloves when you handle strangers hair), or ask family and friends. 😉 tried and true, it works!

  11. Only thing missing? Salt lick for the deer. Swear I saw her munch a few herbs to flavor the beets. Not really sure what the fence is for? 4 feet? Is that so they get a little exercise with their meal?
