Hey there! Im so grateful for all you do for all of us! I direct sewed poppies and bells of Ireland last fall 6 weeks before first frost. Ive not seen any sprouts yet. Do I consider them as a fail? Also when do I start fertilizing once Ive planted seedlings in the ground?

Oh my gosh Lisa! You can't substitute Silver Queen…you know, I grew up in SW Va near Roanoke…grew up with Silver Queen in the garden and in the freezer. I moved to Sterling, Virginia and went to the Farmers Markets here…I asked about Silver Queen- You know those farmers told me that they don't "Make Silver Queen" anymore…I have to go back home to get silver queen seeds…but it seems the raccoons up here think it's just as tasty as I do…tried several years but they always got to it…can you believe that…they don't "make" silver queen anymore…🤣🤣🤣
