Garden Plans

Everything I made in January + February plans | Knitting and Sewing podcast

Hello my friends! I’m going to restart these monthly recaps, beginning with the first month of the year! I love watching knitting podcasts, maker roundups, and sewing recaps, so I decided to get back into sharing my monthly makes, WIPs, and plans.

  1. I literally bought the Nikko pattern bc of you and it is such a great and versatile pattern! Can't wait to see the new ones you sew up. I am currently procrastinating on a coat haha. The Protea Trousers are on my list for pants, they are classic-looking and have lots of opportunity to play with different kinds of fabric.

  2. I just made two shorts and two pants of the Pietra Pants pattern! I really like the pockets and the seam down the front. Since the front doesn’t have a waistband, they feel more comfortable to sit in than any other pants I’ve made.

  3. Hey Cassie, I would recommend the "Liv Pants" pattern by Mood (it's free!). They are high-waisted wide-legged pants, I specially like the front pleats that run from waist to hem. I made mine in a dark grey suiting fabric and I wear them with t-shirts and converse high tops.
For an easier pattern, the "Florence Pants" by Elizabeth Suzann are my go to, I added inseam pockets though!

  4. I'm a newish sewist, started a Zadie jumpsuit and hopefully will get to a crop tee and trouser matching set in Ankara fabric soon!

really enjoyed this and love the "unicorn" Swatch

  5. I'm currently knitting my first ever sweater! I knitted a scarf when I was in school ~10 years ago. It's a wonderful mustard tweed. I'm also going to work on the Clyde pants! 🙂

  6. I just made the All Well studio pants pattern which were quite simple and quick to make and I found fit nicely. I made them with the flat front so they wouldn't be too casual looking and I think you can really change up the style based on what material you choose. Bonus, the pattern is pwyc, so super accessible

  7. Pants patternI love is the Lander Pant by True Bias, Seeing your knitting makes me want to knit – which I never have done. What is the first thing and would you suggest a youtube tutorial or by a book?
