  1. Well, I'm a little late watching the video tonight, but I did make it!!! The Old Goat is feeling excited and ready to "Get Dirty" in the garden. In fact he is holding a "Get Dirty" keychain and trying to encourage everyone to get into the garden (he's on the 2nd shelf behind Greg). I've been using DeWitt fabrics for years now. Good durable stuff!!! I would offer a tip to anyone who does not have a tiller, just buy one of the inexpensive "bulb planter" bits off Amazon. They are big soil drill bits for a cordless drill and work great for making a hole in the soil and GA red clay. just fill the hole with some improved soil from the store and plant your veggies in the DeWitt mat. The soil drill is perfect for making a planting hole under those x- locations. Or Hoss Tools might want to look at including one in the kit? I agree that drip irrigation is the way to go. And like they said, pair it with a fertilizer injector and you are good to go for an awesome garden!

  2. Ya'll are just making it too easy to find the old goat. He is behind Gregs head on the 2nd shelf between the sign and the jar … I have been wanting to try the magalitsa pig, as soon as I find a property I can have pigs! LOL I do have a breeder here, in my town.

  3. We are feeding out Mangalica and Hampshire mixed feeder pigs we get from our neighbor. We fed 2 out last summer. We kept one after having it butchered. The meat is great. We grind and mix our feed. Corn, soybean meal, hog pellets and supplement. They are fed using a self feeder.

  4. Dewitt is the best lawn fabric. I am using large rolls to cover about 3000 square feet with a Hoss irrigation system. I laid down the fabric and waited a few months to kill off the grass. Then raked and tilled the soil and laid the fabric back down. This Spring/Summer garden will be amazing. Pro-tip: Use a butane lighter to make your holes.

  5. Old goat standing out tonight over Greg’s shoulder. Good reminder Sheila on planting beets and radishes. 🌱🌱

  6. I would have loved to have that garden kit when I was first starting out!
The old goat is behind Greg's shoulder beside the "True love story" sign.

  7. Old goat is behind Greg's right shoulder, love your show,& quality of your products are fantastic, thanks🌱

  8. I love the mat idea and irrigation water 💦 system.could you do a video and show us how to put the irrigation water 💦 system together too go under the mat

  9. I think the weed mat system will be very beneficial for some of us gardeners getting up in years (and failing health) as well. We still like to stay as active as our health allows and we still like to eat…so the appeal to us older folks as well as you mentioned school aged kids is great. Thanks for the new product. Old goat is behind Greg's right shoulder on the second shelf between the sign and jar of veggies.

  10. The old goat is in love with the "old" Greg's right shoulder. Getting ready to place an order for more seed and fertilizer. Enjoy your weekend!

  11. Big Hoss and Mama Hoss…you are a national treasure. I can’t thank you enough for sharing your knowledge with all of us. God bless you and your wonderful family. ❤

  12. I’m definitely going to check out the lazy gardener system! Old goat is on the shelf behind Mr. Hoss

  13. I wonder about the victory gardens the government used to promote, what all was planted in it for families to get all the vitamins needed to be healthy when meat was hard to get. For example, my grandparents grew eggplant to be able to replace meat for nutritional needs? Do you know any more info on it or where to get info on it.

  14. Will you show us a demo of the product in your garden? Especially installation if the drip?
    Thank you!

  15. Old Goat is peeking over Greg's shoulder below the HANGRY sign. Update on the homemade seed tape: The Little Gem lettuce I planted that way is doing great, and I found my first carrot seedling peeking up at the sun this morning!

That weed mat garden was a brilliant idea! Kids, older adults, people too busy for their own good (aren't we all?)–so many gardeners could benefit from this.

  16. Great show, as always! Thanks for keeping that product line evolving! Old goat is right out in the open this week! 🤣

  17. My favorite Hoss garden product was the heavy duty tall tomato cages that folded flat in the off season. Wish you still carried them.

  18. We tried raising pigs once, but that didn't last long! 😆 Old goat is pretty much in the open this week, just below where he was last week, behind Greg 😊

  19. I am as blind as a bat! This time, I am gonna go for it… Is the old goat on top of the hand held butter churn behind Sheila on the top shelf? I am so bad at this! LOL Love your show and all the good you do for the community! Take care! God Bless!

  20. Love it but fire ants are a problem here every time I put down a weed barrier or even raised pots.

  21. Hey guys! Enjoyed the show! I see that Old Goat right behind Mr. Greg next to the stack of books that says “A True Love Story never ends.” Have a great week!

  22. I can see the old goat just off of Greg’s right ear on the shelf between the jars and a small red sign. I can’t read the words on the little sign

  23. What’s nice about it is in the off season you can pull up the mat and add compost and good nutrients for the worms tarp it for winter and put it back down for the new season. Old goat is to the left of Greg’s head. 💕
