Gardening on sand, which is often dry and lacking in nutrients, can be difficult for climbers because most of them require a rich, deep soil to thrive on.
Some climbing plants, however, are more adapted to these types of soil, and it is from this group that I have selected my favorites.
To counteract this, every spring I would enhance the soil by adding a good deal of well-rotted organic material to the planting hole and covering it with a thick layer of organic mulch.
Be sure to give your plants enough of water throughout the first couple of growing seasons.
