Japanese Garden

Green Japanese Gardens in Kyoto, Arashiyama | #8 | Maple Leaves and Garden Design Culture in Japan

Hogon-in Temple, Kyoto Arashiyama
The small Japanese garden contains many garden elements. These elements make us feel rich even though we are just walking around a small garden area. The sequence starts from the maple tree tunnel. We will reach the black stone ocean by looking at the corridor created by natural materials. Located in front of Mount Arashiyama, the stone ocean visually employs the geographical scenery to add a flavor of depth to the garden. The green garden travel continues along with hills, streams, stones, bridges, and vegetation, showing us different colors depending on the seasons.
