In the previous year we didn’t manage to keep the big field, that is a part of our garden, under control at all and it is completely covered with dry alfalfa and tall grass. We would like to do better this year. We bought a riding lawn mower and because we are true beginners, you’ll see us struggling as always. We learn as we go, so we never know if we are heading for success or disaster.
April is the time when there is more visible progress in the garden. There are more flowers and plants appearing. Some of them are edible which is very nice. And we would like to plant poppy seeds.
This is the second season at our country house.

Just a warning of caution about the wild garlic (Allium ursinum) – the leaves look very similar to the highly poisonous plant Convallaria Majalis (Lily of the Valley), so make sure you are picking the right plant 😮
Y’all are so cute! Love watching your progress on your property!
