  1. 💁 ~Hi Rosanne, I enjoy every opportunity to peak in on your garden! Great design & a beautiful sanctuary!
    ~I love it! 😉👍🏡

  2. Love the stone turtle idea! What a great hubby you have! I'd love to see him put another turtle down toward the gate end of this space, heading toward the other turtle. I love the movement of this space. So cute! Such a blessing! So inspirational! May you both have long lives always filled with gardening! (and videos!!)

  3. You both are so good. What a wonderful and beautiful garden. Thank you for sharing with us .

  4. I've missed seeing you! I too have a narrow side garden on the south side but it is slightly sloped away from the house. But since I don't have irrigation it's a big job to keep everything watered well in summer. I'd love to incorporate some of your ideas for more vertical interest. Deer are an issue here… in NJ zone 7A. They love to stroll as a throughway on that side ~ munching on my roses and native viburnum on the way! I'm planting more catmint as a deterrent. I'd love to do an arbor but not sure how because of the sloped land. Each year it's changing slowly. Thank you for all the inspiration in this video! Hope to see more from you!

  5. Good to see you again, Roseanne! I adore your storybook house and matching shed! This was a really helpful comprehensive overview of how to create a garden a difficult space. Wherever people live, there are native plants and other varieties that love the climate and grow well with little work. I could not deal with the snow you have there, but in S. Cal, we have weeds and mud everywhere, though we were spared the worst of the flooding. Time here for pruning trees and harvesting rainwater. We never know when, or if, it will rain again. Many plants bloom in winter here; every rosemary plant is covered in blue flowers, and the lavender plants are happy. Bees are happy too. I try to identify volunteers quickly, to decide if they will stay or go. I have yet to be lucky enough to have a peony pop up on it's own! (They don't grow well here at all, unfortunately.) Cheers!

  6. This video is so welcome right now. Thank you for sharing! My soul needs to be reminded that spring will come 🌸🌺

  7. What a treat, a design class. The work, design and love put into it by you and your husband. Letting us in on why you chose what you chose. Many great ideas 🌱

  8. Your gardens are exceptional, you and your husband put a lot of thought and planning into the design and it shows. I would love 💕 to take a stroll. Can’t wait for more videos , greetings from Massachusetts

  9. This video was such a joy to watch! I'm new to gardening & I had no idea it's even possible my narrow side yard could look/feel so lush & private. Thank you for including the measurements & blueprint. It's so helpful!

  10. What a wonderful visit to your garden. Thank you. All of your hard work shows. A garden would not be so enchanting without a touch of whimsy; it would just be someone’s yard. You and your husband should be very proud. Again, thank you for sharing your beautiful garden. ❤️

  11. I am so thankful for your videos! I am located in the western suburbs of Minneapolis and it is SO GREAT to have content that is from my own garden zone! I have saved lots of screen shots and the garden plan from your side-garden video. Hoping to recreate it this summer in my own yard! Wondering if you have any good sources you use to purchase all of your trees and plants. P.S. You and your husband are amazing, talented gardens and landscapers!

  12. An incredible masterclass in garden design… I’m thoroughly impressed by the thought and planning you’ve put into every aspect of your beautiful gardens. What a gorgeous space!

  13. I was so excited to see a new video today!
I have referred to your videos several times for tips in our zone 4 Minnesota.
I do have a question, an older video showed how to propagate a clematis.
Can I start a couple in the spring and plant them in the Fall?
Can they be split in the spring?

  14. So good to see you back Rosanne!!!! You are always such an inspiration!!!! Just beautiful!!! Spring is coming! Here in Virginia, we have been quite wet but our temps have been very mild. Cottage gardens and the "enchanted" look is what I aim for with my garden. 🌺🤗✨🌹❤

  15. What a pleasure to see your video, I love your garden….it is exceptional…I pay close attention to your tree and shrub choice…I am slightly envious of all that fabulous stone, we have a slight hill that leads to my newest area, yesterday I priced stone steps, OMG!!! I need at least 5! I want to just cut into the slight hill and lay them in, not sure if I can afford them, but as we age 64/75, that hill seems like a hazard….thank you for your video, it’s always inspiring.

  16. Just lovely and I got lots of ideas. I enjoy your videos tremendously. And since I live in zone 3b, your suggestions are applicable to my zone.

  17. Thank you so much, this is very informative! I hope you will show us how you designed the back yard too. I really appreciate how you put the name of the plants. I have a question about the apple trees that is planted right on the side of the house, don’t the roots of the trees bother the structure of the house? I’m a little bit hesitant planting next to side of the house. I’ll appreciate your answer.

  18. So beautiful! You've given me a lot of inspriation on how to do my north facing side yard (zone 9a). Its bare rock right now but hoping to have one as lush as yours in a few years!

I love the way you take the time to format your videos and include a lot of history and photos on the progression – these videos must take so long to plan and create! Lots of love put into them just like your garden!

  19. Your side garden is GOALS for me. The best I've seen. Thank you for explaining your thought process and plant choices. Beautiful and inspirational.

  20. Breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL! Seeing the before….was shocked…such a tranquil step into another world.❤. So sad about the loss of the Elm Tree, it was magnificent.

  21. I’m a newcomer to your channel and just spent the day binge-watching your videos. What a delight!! I love your gardens and truly appreciate all the wonderful information you provide. I’ve learned so much and have already taken a plethora of notes. Please do consider writing a book!!

  22. Beautiful and so inspiring Roseanne! Just found your channel and have subscribed so I don’t miss a thing. ❤

  23. Hi Roseanne your winter garden is beautiful so I thank you for sharing!!! This was a fun video to share all the transitions. Love the diagram and information. 🥰🥰🥰 – Liz
