Good ideas for my small balcony. Was worried about weight of soil, planters and plants.
Hi, Robbie. I'm looking for my empty picture books like yours to store seeds in. Good idea, btw. Volunteer seedlings are all over my totes, mixed celery and parsley.
Thatβs one productive deck. Very conveniently located too π
I love the deck garden β€οΈ
Amazing a garden without any effort at all as you've said. That shows how easy it can be to have a garden π±π π±π
Hi Robbie. I want to start growing walking onions, do I start them from seed? Thank you.
Enjoyed the video. I love the longer videos though, they are calming to me π
I don't see any travel compost containers in your deck garden. Did you give up on those?
You are such an inspiration! I live in San Diego, and I want to start some plants on my deck, is it too late for tomato plants?
Nice. Well Done. Enjoyed the video. Thanks
You can make an old fashioned poultice with the purselane
Robbie, Iβve always thought your deck was a great place for a garden closer to your home. Plus, you have a beautiful view! π‘
Robbbie can you please have seat down video and tell us about your life and talk about yout kidds if you have and how many years you have this gardenβ¦and talk about your life we love to knowβ¦love you beautiful hard working lady π₯°π₯³π§Ώπ§Ώπππ
Next spring am going to try grow strawberry. It's nice to see kitty
I got some walking onions from Baker Creek a few weeks ago, and they are coming along nicely. Finally getting to try growing them! I decided to taste test a bit of the green top. OMG I had to spit it out. I've never tasted an onion so strong, and it was heavy on the garlic side. And this was just the greens of a tiny bulbil!
I'm going to try test cooking all of the parts separately before using in a recipe. That intensity, cooked, might be a good thing. I hope! Otherwise I just blew $38! lol, still, I had to give them a try instead of wondering what I was missing.
Hi Robbie & Gary & Kitty too. Your videos on deck gardening have been very helpful to me I have a very small patio but I do have a little bit of lawn that I've been growing in so your deck videos have given me so many ideas to grow so much more. I am so excited to get started next season and the way you do it it will be up higher for me and easier to take care of no bending YAY! I do have one question though, we know kitty very well and I just love seeing her but I was wondering about your other fur babies and their names. I just love animals of all kinds. Thank you. You both are beautiful Earth Angels love you guy's.
So much great content . Been following you for years glad to see ur famous now π
I hope that's not a 5G tower.
Terrific tour of your amazing garden. Yes fall is here. Much cooler up here in N. California too. I always enjoy seeing Kitty the broccoli lover π Enjoy π

Thank you. I learn at least one or more things in each of you videos.
Thanks for the update. Kitty is so cute, and don't worry about what others think of your screen door. It works and keeps the puppies safe π That's the main thing.
Thank you Robbie and Kitty! Love the screen door too.
I dehydrate and powder my purslane and put in capsles for the omega 3.
I swear I have 500 lettuce seedlings that came up because I put the whole seed head on that round bedπ need to transplant some! My birds must be feeding elsewhere. …
Cutting my tomatoes out. I'm so dome with them, one last batch of paste to cook tomorrow.
I bet you can put purslane into spinach, I make "spinach" from nettles and chard, tastes just like regular spinach! My purslane is done though. Peppers are still putting on blooms, silly things, it's getting too cold here.
Yes, I use all those extra envelopes for my seeds tooπ
Robbie I'm going to try growing Walking onions next spring thanks to you.
I like what you do with your onions. I found several tiny ones today I planted in February and had forgotten. Theyβre starting to regrow. I thought to myself, βWhy even harvest them if they can stay fresh in the dirt?β Pretty cool to see you say this on the same day!
I was hoping to see how you did plants over the seasons. Perfect. Thanks
Hi Robbie i got some walking onion seeds from a friendβ¦i live up in Monterey Bay California area. Is it ok to plant them now? Like regular onion seeds.
Robbie, youβre a true inspiration! I love your upbeat energy & absolutely phenomenal ideas! I live in southern Ontario, Canada and am so inspired by your methods! Iβve got myself a few totes & plan to grow some cool weather crops this fall/winter. Iβm excited & nervous. Iβm getting delivery of a greenhouse soon and plan to grow in there with passive solar heat & insulating materials. Not sure how long in the season Iβll be able to keep it up but Iβm super excited to try!
Question: do you think all my garden materials & food scraps will break down as I compost in place in the cold months here? I figure with all your garden know how, experience & plain old good instincts, you would know π thanks so much for posting your content. You are incredible π€π
Im in NC. My container okra and container cucumbers are still producing amd it's November!!
mom i really like to plant walking onions but have never been successful because the stems always rot and die.π«
