GREEN MANURE – Pigeon Pea Chop & Drop!



In this video I will be showing you how I chop and drop Pigeon Pea (Cajanas cajan) in order to build fertility in our vegetable beds. This is a way of creating “Green Manure” as Pigeon Pea is a nitrogen fixing plant. It is also a perenial species which means you can continually cut it back for a few years. It also has edible pods which are a great source of protein.
