  1. Great vid mate, am thinking of starting out as I really enjoy it. What tips have you got for advertising yourself to potential customers?

  2. Just come across this video, I'm looking at starting my own gardening business up. Very much like yourself starting with mainly second hand gear. Glad to see I'm not the only one. Great video

  3. Very good video mate.
I basically a very similar experience in Wallsend.
Lock down left me with no income so bought a secondhand mower on Gumtree for £80.00
Doing what I am passionate about now.
    Do well. Spike

  4. Hi and thank you for your video, I have been a Nursery Teacher for over 20 years but my real passion is gardening. I also have allotments where I grow fruit and veg. I did the RHS level 2 practical course in 2019/20 and passed and am now starting up as a gardener. Terrified but also excited! I have 1 customer so far and am in the process of creating business cards. Do you invoice customers and did you get a business account or could you do a video on that please? You’ve given me a bit more courage to continue 👍

  5. Do you have a van, my Vito blew up so looking at your page a fair bit now. Keep the videos coming

  6. Hi loving your videos I’m just starting up I know it’s a little late in the year but better late than never. I been out and brought the equipment today and sorted my business cards out. I’m really excited but nervous. I’ve been thinking about doing it for years but last weekend I decided I’m just going to go for it. Pricing is my biggest worry 😩

  7. I'm thinking about giving it a go with just mowing and strimming lawns for now anyway and see how it goes. Because I've got full time job I'll just see what I can get at weekends and see how it goes and if I get any interest. I've read on other YouTube videos that people advertise on Facebook and community Facebook pages. Like you I don't want to get too much stuff or go too expensive to start with just incase I get no interest. I've got bosch battery mower so would you say start with that see how much interest I get and then upgrade to a petrol one? The hyundai brush strimmer what's the exact model and is there cheaper but just as good that you've heard about? Thanks for your time and your videos, sounds like you're doing well.

  8. Iv been recently let down by old job now hoping to start own business doing gardening and fish pond maintenance hoping for some advice I’m 20 years old don’t have a clue where to start

  9. Hi mate. Love the video and thanks for doing it. I’m a postie and like you as a courier-I like being outside but I want to get out and start up my own business. I have done some gardening in the past. I am a practical person and have experience of all the things you mention. My main concern is starting now. Obviously with the cost of living crisis and the winter months approaching. What do you suggest? I live in Suffolk. Cheers! Joel

  10. I agree, really easy to get work. I've got most of the cul-de-sac asking me to do work. Make sure you do a good job and the work will come. You need to do the little things, like blow leaf into the driveways and pick them up rather than out onto the road – people notice these small details.

  11. Hope I get a answer to this but iv been asked to cut a mates grass next week what conditions would you say it's not ok to cut it in I stay in the UK. I mean with the time of year it is thanks
