EASY (& CHEAP!) way to ADD VERTICAL GARDENING SPACE: Works for HOOP HOUSES too!

One of my favorite ways, and one of the most versatile, quick, and inexpensive ways, to quickly add vertical space in the garden is using ladder mesh block. Plants love growing vertically up the repurposed trellis, and it’s easy to install anywhere in the garden.

  1. what kind of material is seen at 4:01? i need that so bad right now! i don't know what to call it to be able to search for it. thank you!

  2. It looks great! I'm bummed because I can't find ANY stores near me that sell it :(. I've looked at 4-5 different stores… I guess I'll have to try another method. I'm envious of everyone that can find it! It looks like such a perfect addition to a garden!

  3. This is one of the best gardening tips I've heard in years. I've been trying to figure out an easy trellis for my cucumber and zucchini plants. Thank you!!

  4. It is hard to find in the Northeast. Is it safe to use around food? When I tried to order it online it has a lead warning. Does anyone know anything about the lead in it-how much etc?

  5. I hope this message reach you. No wonder I couldn't find the ladder mesh at Lowe's. It's not in the garden section but on the other side of the store next to the rebars. And I saw the fiberglass rebar, never knew this thing. $6.28 for 10 ft, WOW that looks useful in the garden. Most of the garden stakes don't reach this long. Looks lightweight, strong and rust free.

  6. New subscriber cheers from Pennsylvania Blessings 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  7. I have been wanting a vertical garden but everything was too complicated and expensive and physically difficult for a woman of a Wise Age ….Blessings from Pennsylvania 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

  8. Thank you! I have been wanting to set up some low tunnels, but wanted to avoid using plastic pipes like most people make theirs from. This looks like the perfect solution.

  9. I saw your video on TikTok on vertical gardening and had to find you on youtube. Thank you for the cheap ideas. I am going to go hunt for Ladder Mesh. BTW I spent many a Christmas break in Mesa, Arizona, I love that area! Have not been there in years.

  10. Thank you for the vídeo. I have been using ladder mesh for a long time now. It is indeed very versatile. I also use it along with other trellising options set in the middle of two of these (one on either side) that gives it support and structure. 👍

  11. Is Ladder Mesh Block available anywhere any more? I cannot find a single one…anywhere – local or online.
It's exactly what I'm wanting for my new garden, but I just can't find it.

  12. Great idea re: ladder mesh block. What length did you buy and use in this video? or What length did you cut it to fit low in the garden? This is perfect for an ole Lady Gardener 🙂 I can do this myself for my upcoming Fall and Winter vining veggies. Tks for all you do Angela. I love your Channel 🙂

  13. Why can’t I find cheap ones all I see Online and on hardware stores I go to our ones that are like $20 and up

  14. Thank you so much for the videos you create. I live in Tucson and I’ve always struggled with gardening since most of the common advice isn’t geared toward our climate. Your videos have given me such inspiration and encouragement. I’ve started a new garden this month based on your video advice and I am having such fun and success so far. Thank you for helping me get there!

  15. The wire mesh block is not available ANYWHERE in Washington State. Several of us have looked extensively. If you are able to get it at home depot where you are. Please see if the store will tell its supplier. So i can try to order it from Home Depot here. Many of us want it. I am making a food forest and could really use this.

  16. Brilliant! I am new to your channel, and I love how clever, and resourceful you are! Thank you for your content!
