  1. I hear a lot of home gardeners voice disinterest in red flowers. Is it a tricky color to pair things with?

Also, geraniums remind me of my late grandparents home. They had a big bush of them in the front yard and I remember that peculiar smell of them

  2. I like all your choices. Would be nice to have that nursery near me. I want to try that Dark Side of the Moon Astilbe for my shade garden. Bonny zone 5b

  3. Hi! I have been watching you videos since last year and I have learned alot from you since we are on the same zone ( greenville , Texas). And that's how I got to know this nursery too from one of your videos. Thank you so much. I went there Tuesday and bought some plants too. They have a good selection and reasonable price too. I can't thank you enough.โคโคโค

  4. So grateful to have found your channel!! Also love your nursery visits! They will help me so much when buying plants this spring! Did you happen to request Supertunia Bordeaux?! Thatโ€™s my favorite!

  5. That Homegrown Nursery is a lovely place. You are right about their plants. I like the trellises they had too! That succulent birdbath was really cool! I'll be looking forward to seeing your container combos. I often buy a combo at the garden center and break it up to use in my ow n creations. Have fun!

  6. With your geranium, you might give them more shade as it gets hotter. They may slow down in their blooming but will pick up in the fall. I love them!

  7. No geraniums do not like the summer heat I had alot of them last year and they died u would need to have them in a very shade area๐Ÿ˜ขzone 9b

  8. Another winner, Amanda! I always love that you show us how you combine colors.
Have you grown Truffle Pink Gomphrena? I've heard that it has a peculiar smell! I'd like to try it sometime in Houston but not too sure about the smell! Linda

  9. Im new to gardening so i am wondering… if the garden center has plants available, does that mean they are safe to plant outside? Im in chickasha oklahoma and my garden center was selling peppers and theyve already been taken by the frost. Luckily i only bought 3 but its weird to me that stores will sell product when its not ready yet! So frustrating!

  10. What a selection! Would you recommend harding off the plants? Being that they were grown in an enclosed protected greenhouse? Thanks. Happy Spring๐ŸŒฑ

  11. Ah, so many choices. You made some good ones and I can't wait to see what you do with them after our cold spell passes. Crazy weather down here in Cypress, too. Went to bed with temperatures in the 70's and got up to 46 degrees!!!! We're focusing on the grass this week in an attempt to fertilize and hope that it greens up and comes back to life after that blazing hot summer last year. My flower buying budget may have to go towards resodding the grass. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (me growling).

  12. hi i started watching you even though your zone is a lot different then mine, i'm in zone 6b but its ok i love your flower beds, anyway i googled about geranium, and it says that "geranium have always been known to tolerate heat better than most plant species,, but the recent development of hybrid geranium has meant varieties that can
take on tough climates like Texas and Arizona where 100- plus degree summers are the norm"

  13. I love when you take us on a tour. Although I can't do much gardening here in Indiana yet, zone 6, i get lots of inspiration. Just when I think I have a design worked out you show those 'OH I JUST HAVE TO HAVE THAT PLANT'! About geraniums, I grow them in full sun and part shade. The ones in full sun (some 90 degree days) flower better all the way thru fall. Watching you also give me a better view of plants that can thrive in full sun! Keep gardening…๐Ÿ’๐Ÿต

  14. Wow! Another beautiful nursery tour, love all the flowers. You must grow geraniums they love the heat! Canโ€™t wait to see what you do with all the new flowers.

  15. So jealous! We just had 2 big freezes here. I'm still dreaming of getting things planted. ๐Ÿ˜ข

  16. Thank you for taking is along, such beautiful flowers and plants. It's froze is last to nights here, nights the big hard freeze 22. It's going to kill everything back that blooming and budding. We don't get to start planting here until middle of May or later. Northeastern okla๐Ÿ˜ข

  17. We have geraniums here in zone 10 southern CA and they do pretty well with heat! They just wonโ€™t flower as much as when itโ€™s cooler. Also wouldnโ€™t leave them in full sun with little water ๐Ÿ˜… either.

  18. I lived in Gretna, LA Zone 9b and I could never grow Geranium, but I had full sun. We moved to Zone 8b Foley, AL in Oct 2022; Iโ€™m going to try them in in shade. If you have shade or part sun, I think you will be good. Thanks for the tour; prices have really gone up!
