Planting Up Trio of Spring Containers! 🌸🌸🌸 :: Plus, My FIRST Boxwood Topiary! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Welcome gardeners! It is the first day of spring and I am outdoors enjoying the sun and the promise of the new season! I spent a lovely time at my local garden center this past weekend picking out plants and am potting them up today in some spring containers! 🌸 Enjoy!

  1. Oh Janey that is gorgeous! That’s so sweet of Jason to let you go plant shopping. Us Mamas love our kids more than anything but it’s so important to get some time to recharge and no better way than some plant therapy!

  2. Let’s wish that this spring will bring lots of flowers 🌺 and joy to everyone! Colorful regards from Greece!

  3. Beautiful Janey. I love columbine but took all mine out as I couldn’t control the Leaf Miner. Does anyone know how? By the way I love your music…it’s alway so happy!! πŸŽΆπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

  4. Hi Janey. Happy Spring!πŸ’I can't wait to spend 3 hours in our garden center. I'm in Northern NJ 6a and as much as I enjoy winter I've about had it for the season! I'm ready for planting and seeing color in my yard. I love your selections you showed us. Everything you do is always inspiring to me. Thank you!πŸ’•

  5. 3 hours at Green Acres, I would have felt like I’d died and gone to heaven. If only they had a cafe.

  6. hi janie πŸ€—
yes i can believe your 3hr trip at a plant nursery. there's so much to see and it takes time to envision in your garden. tfs

  7. Hydrangas will grow ok in California as long as they don't dry out and get right amt of sun. That is key too. There's some good info on line.

  8. Not trying to be silly here, but with those light-particles shining through your hat (at about the 3rd minute ), you did look Avatar-ish today..

  9. Yes! The first day of spring was GORGEOUS β˜€οΈ Definitely got outside to pot up some containers and the children were elated to bust out the sidewalk chalk πŸ˜‚πŸŽ‰

  10. Happy planting! And greetings from Texas! β€πŸŒΏπŸŒ±πŸŒ·πŸƒ

  11. Yea! First day of Spring! Can’t wait for all the blooms! Just had a couple weekends of cold weather here in Georgia and tried to cover all my plants. Some in early blooms and others leafing out. Lost some. We tried! That’s gardening!!!

  12. Northern Minnesota here and today we are getting more snow. But my indoor garden is thriving! Propigating is in full swing. Our day will come for the outdoors and we will really appreciate it! 😊 Come spring! Come! 😊

  13. 3” of rain since 430am with heavy, blowing winds. So windy the birds are having trouble landing and holding on to the bird feeders. It only was sunny a few hours 3/20 here in SF Bay Area east bay hills. A poor fluffy bumblebee was getting whipped around and is now holding tight in the osteospermen leafy branches…

  14. Really enjoy your videos, your front and back yard are lovely. I am in zone 4 Alberta Canada so a very different climate from you, but it's fun to watch your progress and all the lovely plants you purchase. Thanks for sharing.😊

  15. I love the idea of gifting plants to celebrate the start of spring 🌷! Your planters look gorgeous!

  16. You’re brave. I live in zone 9B as well (South Texas) & there’s no way our hydrangeas could take any sun whatsoever. The hydrangeas at our Lowe’s are all on clearance right now because they scorched under afternoon sun!

Mine are north facing by my entrance shaded from 95% of the sun.
