As you all well know, I am a sucker for a pretty face .. and these five ladies are so delicious, I could just eat them up – I am talking about flowers here: Edible flowers, that make edible tubers, too! You can grow a survival garden right under the noses of your nosy HOA, and the joke is really on them, because edible flowers taste so good!

  1. The difference in flavors between different plants is amazing. Nasturtium bites back, and its seed pods are a good substitute for capers.

  2. Missed the Premiere Jason, but finished watching the replay, and not a day goes by that you don't teach us something new, Dahlia flowers and the tubers are edible? Hmm…I'm thinking the tubers weren't eatened by the people planting them on account they'd not have any pretty dahlias and then like you say in the chat, that you may have a hard time eating them!🤣Exact same dilemma here😂, I prefer buying the aloe vera flowers, but upon notice, as soon as they grow to the size of blooming, they're supposed to be picked, ready for eating, stirfried with a bit of tomatoe, onion and cilantro. And when they appear, I'm keen to notice the bees and butterflies flying near them, so I leave the flowers be, thinking I'd pick them 2-3 days after they bloomed and lol😂they begin to dry up. Like your Toad co-star ya got there.😊👍

  3. What part of the country are you in? Beautiful choices. Will car exhaust or traffic in anyway affect your plants?

  4. I think Bill Murray said that, "I don't want the gophers getting my Dahlia's." It's cool you have a property to play around on. Do you ever have zoning issues or Negative Nancy neighbors (Hater–aid drinkers)?
You said you have two lots, and you live next to a RR line, and behind a church? Just curious… Eventually, you'll be the envy! hehe, you don't know how to pick up a toad. Thank you Jason.

  5. Those flowers are going to look great. My wife loves to grow flowers and I try to steer her to the edible flowers when I can. She really loves the Day Lillie’s you sent us and they are all growing really well. Thanks!
