What’s the mizuna taste like? I got a pack of free seeds.
I have 4 broccoli in my earthboxes. And 2 heads of cabbage ..ok..trying to heads…This was my first success with broccoli.
Your broccoli heads and leaves look really good! I don't like store bought broccoli anymore because it doesn't seem dense/heavy or green enough. The flavor is also less intense than it should be, and I think it's safe to assume they're not as nutrient rich as they used to be or should be. I figure they must be growing them using a variety and/or method that grows them fast, but not well. The Waltham broccoli I grew last year was pretty much perfect, although I wish the heads were bigger. It was the best broccoli I ever tasted. Deep dark green, and surprisingly sweet raw. Even the center of the stalks tasted really good. Hopefully they grow well for me this spring and fall.
I had some beautiful cabbages and the freeze got them. The broccoli leaves make good greens, like collards.
All I need is that head of broccoli and a bottle of ranch dressing that would be my meal I would also take those broccoli leaves wash them and cook cut them up and cook them with some ham yum yum
I got my first earthbox, well it's a earthbox clone that Lowe's sells. Looks just like an earth box though. Fixing to get it growing. . I would get you a free pallet and put those on it and that way you can move them in and out with the forklift instead of having to move each individual one. Broccoli looks awesome. I love it steamed with cheese on it LOL
I have about 50 containers I use in my garden. YES, you can grow anything in a container. 😊 Thanks to you an Leon….
Alan, have you tried using a shade house to hold off the intense summer sun?
My wife and I just grow some of these and it came out great. they took 30degrees with a cover on them still came out great. We now use raise gardens. GREAT VID THX.
