It was my first attempt to grow shallots on my terrace in a pot and polythene bag and it turned out to be successful.
It doesn’t require much maintenance. Just mixed sand of homemade fertilizer before planting and frequently water with liquid fertilizer in the form for rice cleaned water or vegetable washed water.
Seperate seeds to use it for next cropping. Shallots spring starts drying up when it’s mature and can be easily harvested.
Dry shallots after harvest under shade in open air to dust away mud from shallots and it can be used for cooking 🙂
