Why you should grow Tatsoi instead of spinach. Tatsoi is a very heat tolerant Asian green that forms lush leafy rosettes of edible greens. I have been unsuccessful at growing spinach in my Florida garden, so instead I grow Tatsoi which is a near perfect substitute. The leaves can be chopped and cooked down just like spinach. The flavor is a little different but good in its own way.
