  1. Hey Chris! If you need a bit of garden art at home, the loader with the cracked windscreen and a bit of your own history might be something that has a bit more meaning. you can always add a drag line etc later on ,,, Good story though, Cheers bloke!!!!

  2. wow oh wow, awesome! great story about your head cracking the windshield when you were a young fella..

  3. Thank you for showing these old but Great Girls at work. Just asking is that big pile to mix the soil for great farming soil. Get the Deeper soil back on the surface.

  4. Built a pond 2.5 acres it was 8 feet deep with a dh8 . It did the job
    In Santa Rosa CA .

  5. A blast from the past. I think the 955L would have to be the “where it all began” at a future letsdig18 museum. Complete with a cracked windscreen from a 14y/o Chris’s head🤣 Awesome video, take care & cheers😊

  6. Those operators definitely did not hit the gym after work!
My hat goes off to the men in those days that built our country and our military men that fought for and protected it. (Women and everyone else included, but that's what I meant). That's when kids knew that if dad had to get up to discipline you after working all day, you were definitely in trouble and probably deserved to be in trouble.

  7. That Allis Chalmers 16 I believe is called a bull grader, see how long and low the blade is on it, bull graders had blades like that, they were for finish grading not so much dirt movers.

  8. Absolutely love this one. Thanks to owner for sharing his treasures with us. That’s so awesome that this old iron still exists and is still able to work.

  9. The big stack is so dumb. It is just a huge funnel for water and it looks stupid. Things were so much better 20 years ago

  10. Amei esse international essa mecânica me bateu uma curiosidade e um cummins/Detroit/mwm fala aí parceiro???👏👏👍😎🇧🇷

  11. I love it. The old Cat was pushing some good blades full, with no problem, at all. I have wished, often that I could have been a heavy equipment operator, at least for a couple of years. I have gotten too old and stoved up, now. I would be lucky be able to climb into the cab on it. I have done some dirt work with tractor and blade and with a wheeled loader. I enjoyed it much.

  12. I think they did pretty good for their age and like you said they don't make them like that anymore

  13. I've got an old 2u out of the old Bethlehem steel plant with 156 hours on it when I bought it in 1994 !!
