  1. Back in 2019/ maybe very early 2020 I purchased a 500w Jackery, a 200w solar panel. I use the unit to plug my lamp in, and charge my laptop. This 118 yr. old house I live in has so few electrical outlets that I use this as an extra plug in. They are great to have, not only for power outdoors, but even indoors. Who knows what lies ahead in our future, best be prepared.🙏

  2. Hi Robbie! To add another level to your power backup you can get an inverter for your vehicle (about 150W) and an extension cord to run into the house- that can be used to recharge your power station, phones, flashlights, and add an LED Christmas light string for emergency lighting. :^) A vehicle is an excellent backup generator.
I really enjoy your channel and projects- anyone who wields a soldering iron is good in my book! Your hummingbirds told me to subscribe, so I did!
    Have a great evening!

  3. You have the best sweet tweets in your yard ! Good job taking care of the beautiful wildlife.

  4. Thank you Robbie, where did you buy it? I would like to get one, cuz my garden is far from my house and the pool is in the middle to get to my outlet I have to go around the pool 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 thanks for sharing 👍👩‍🌾😊 awesome!

  5. Great video! These are so great to have around. I stuck a switchbot on my jackery so I can have it on a on/off schedule. Works great for off grid watering and security set-ups where power isn't convenient. Cheers!

  6. Great idea!
A high powered cell phone battery charging bank is also very helpful for power outages.
Over the years, I have bought a few small solar "generators" for various uses during power outages. I have bought Jackery panels and adaptors to attach the various panels to the "generators", which as you stated are really just battery storage units.
One of my "generators" will be used for wifi if the power goes out. Another one simultaneously can run both a swamp cooler and a countertop ice maker. The other can run a fridge if its ice maker is turned off.
Thankfully my small yard has plugs, and I have outdoor extension cords for using my drill to poke drainage holes in containers.
I have just bought the "generators" when I found one at a good price from a reputable retailer.

  7. Those reports were probably people just not following instructions as you said. There's a reason why appliances includes much safely instructions. To instruct you on how to be safe with these. Also if you JUST need power outage "protection" for indoor settings. Try looking at UPSes (Unterruptible Power Supply). They might be somewhat easier to obtain, cheaper and OFTEN have user replace able batteries. Your budget models will be heavier but at least they do well enough to get the jobs done for AT LEAST a few years to five.

  8. I bet that is so handy to have and thank you for making this video to show us the pros to having one. I love your jacket!

  9. You always manage to make me smile no matter my day! Thanks for the great information. Stay safe and feed them birds lady.. 😆

  10. I have two of the 200 Flashfish and a 300 Flashfish.

One 200 is used for the fish tank lightning for 8 hours, drops down to one bar.

They were $109.00 last summer love them because they are light weight.

We also have the ECOFLOW and BLUETTI for other appliances in the house.

  11. Great video! If you’re ever interested in doing one on the mics you use, I would be interested in that too. 😄

  12. Hey Robbie, I love your videos. You are my hero. I'm in a group who meets at McDonald's every morning. Some are gardeners and I talk about all the ideas you have given. I live in Florida. We have dollar weed really bad. I plant in totes to avoid the dollar weed. It takes over everything in my raised bed gardens. Like I say you are my hero. Thanks for everything.

  13. Thank you so very much. As soon as the video finished I bought one. It was $119 on Amazon with free shipping. You are one really amazing person. It was very kind of you to get this up for us so fast

  14. A couple of months ago when you first talked about it, we were having severe rain storms in northern California .
so I ordered a large one from Amazon. Thank you so much it’s the best unit to have for power outages

  15. THANK YOU ROBBIE. THAT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL. YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO DRAG EXTENSION CORDS OUT. THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND BEING SO HELPFUL. LOVE YALL ❤

  16. Thanks Robbie,i wanna try one of those,i think it's very helpful in the garden!💪 Have a great day!

  17. 200W Portable Power Station FlashFish 40800mAh Solar Generator with 110V AC Out

You should get it by Mar 1. Ebay…$90. free shiping

  18. We cannot get that brand here in Canada Robbie so will be ordering one from Amazon that I can get that is very similar as it will help me during power outage for sure!

  19. Today our freeze is on! 13 F at 8 am I heard you are going to have the big freeze too! So will check back later to see if you make a video

  20. I'm requesting that you do a video on 110 V fountain pumps. I live near Seattle Washington, and don't have a lot of sunny days to run a solar fountain pump. I have seen your video on using cell phones backup batteries.

The reason for the 110V's is so that I can set it and forget it. I have found a eBay seller that has a 5 W pump for under eight dollars.

  21. I bought one. The direction manual is a bit confusing to me. You said you can’t use it while charging with the solar panel. Can I charge my phone in the unit while charging the unit with A/C? Thanks.
I have no electric outlets in my yard…..only one plug in the enclosed patio…so this will come in handy for making holes. I had to run back and forth into the patio before. Quite time consuming. Lol

  22. Hi Robbie, I hope you find this message – I happened upon a maybe good idea for a hummingbird fountain – a silicon sink strainer turned upside down and then the tube from the pump comes out the center of the dome. 🙂 It's not free or re-cycled material, but it is difficult to find that nice curve your hummingbirds seem to enjoy.

  23. My soldering iron has a tiny stand to keep it elevated but it's not very stable. I was thinking a moderately heavy ceramic or clay pot to stick it in might be safer. I might burn myself but I won't burn more. Everything in my yard is soft so I put an old piece of 4' x 8' plywood in the sunny spot and it holds 5 trashpile chairs. Getting ready for April.

  24. Thank you for this informational presentation. Could you give a review on what solar panels you like?
