FORAGING: 3 Fresh Spring Edibles and making a Delicious Wild Edibles Pesto

Y’all it’s foraging time! Get out your gardening gloves and scissors and grab a basket and get out there in the yard and take advantage of harvesting God’s wonderful and free nutritious blessings.

If you want to try the wild greens pesto you will need:

A couple handfuls of foraged greens
Salt to taste
Clove of garlic
Parmesan cheese
Walnuts
Olive or avocado oil
1 T. lemon juice (optional)

Blend all together in a blender or food processor and enjoy.

WARNING: A word to the wise, if you have never foraged or eaten any of these wild edibles, please do a little research so you know how to identify edible plants and to make sure you know what you are harvesting. Also eat only one wild edible at a time to see and make sure you have no adverse affects to any one of them before combining them into any recipes.

  1. I love this video. I often look around my yard and wonder how much we are missing out on because I’m afraid to give it a try.
