Creating a Larch bonsai using just 2 branches – 6 Month timelapse

This larch had some dead parts in the top. So a redesign was needed. Using only the two leftover branches, a new design was made. Deadwood work, wiring, pruning, wood-conservation and a repot. Last images are of the tree in the new pot, soaking up the spring sun and pushing new foliage.

  1. Looks fantastic Jelle
    The transformation is spot on.
That tree will be a trophy winner one day. 👍👍👍

  2. Eine sehr harmonische Gestaltung deiner Lärche. Gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut. Und auf deine neue Zange bin ich schon ein wenig neidisch.😊

  3. Absolutely love that tree now. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and time. You have opened my eyes to alot of great perspective I didn't have before 👍👍 I like that hook tool you have were do I get one and what is it called?

  4. Being less instructional and more demonstrative is more endearing to viewers. We are not all ignorant novices. Some of us actually have more knowledge and insight than you may realise. We are critics of you. You posted yourself here. We did not invite you to do so.

  5. Interesting channel. I just caught your talk "What kills bonsai in winter?" I lost my favorite tree a few days ago. I'm new to bonsai but had attempted the hobby 25 years ago. I got too eager and collected trees before educating myself and failed miserably..I'll be looking in and thanks!

  6. That was a fantastic change! I yelled "GET YOUR HAND OUT OF THERE!" At the computer!! Because you might get burned. My husband and children put their hands in their pockets and the dog left the area…. Oops.
