Join us in the first episode of our “TRAVEL” series for a short trip to Nazaré, Portugal.
We’ve only booked a couple of nights away but that should be plenty of time to see what this charming seaside town on the coast of Portugal has to offer. We’re hoping to find waves, wine, walks and some seafood for Kylie. Stay tuned to see what we get up to when we’re not hard at work on our renovation project.

I watch quite a lot of reno videos in various parts of Portugal on YouTube. Mixed bag really. I can't think of any couple who work as hard (really hard) as you two do which is why I found your video really enjoyable as I couldn't imagine anyone more deserving of a good time. I was in Nazaré a couple of years ago. After your video I might go again.

As a note, those big waves are just past the out cropping at the cliff on the north side . The largest occur in September and October. There is a surf school on the north side plus condos for the world class surfers to stay while they train.
Here I am in Canada salivating at your little adventure. Nazaré is just 1 hour north of where I return to every summer…cheers

We are definitely visiting Nazaré now…We are going to Portugal this September for 20 days and I was looking for Nazaré videos and watched yours…then I realized that you were one of those brave , hard working couples that moved to Portugal to start a new life. So I started watching all your videos from your beginning…MY OH MY! You so deserved this little holiday! Thank you so much for letting me follow your journey! Hour and a half is not far at all. But then I live in rural USA where I’m an hour from the next city that is barely more then a big town.
Time off is good. We've not yet got to Nazare but we can smell the sea every day.

You are far from the waves, you need to drive a couple miles north all the way to the lighthouse cape and there you will be blown away even with the small ones

I prefer your kind of travel and enjoyed your trip as much as you did. Though I must say that seafood looked delicious and I am glad you are starting to take breaks and rest.
So lovely to see you exploring and enjoying a break. I started watching you guys at the start of my own journey moving to not far from Nazare . Eventually found our property and take inspiration from what your doing, making and being.

Thanks for sharing the Nazaré tour with us ….. including all the great restaurants that you visited. We were just in Peniche a couple of days ago and the waves were great for the local surfers. Looking forward to many more such videos. As Canadians we have travelled throughout Portugal and have always found hidden gems to visit from top to bottom and from west to east. Btw ….. we have thoroughly enjoyed watching your Reno from day one. Can’t wait to see your progress inside. We also find your videos informative and enjoyable. We follow a number of similar Reno’s in your area and would welcome a tour of the finished homes in the future even if it was a paid tour.

Great video… what a change from plastering and gardening! A famous French chef once said that there are two pleasures in life: sex and food. Nazare is a special place since antiquity, because of its wild sea and, consequently, so many fisherman lost their lives in the fishing boats. It's one of the great places for seafood, because the fish is fresh… and the restaurants know how to cook it well.
I wish to relocate to Portugal one day but I'm still planning my budget here in South Africa
In the next Visit to Nazare i Recommended to Eat in the Marisqueira AKI DEL MAR !!!!!!
Don't complain too much about where you chose to live, you have a freeway from Pedrógão straight to the coast (IC8), which, in a country full of toll roads, is a luxury many people who live in the interior don't have. 😉

I live 100 metres from the sea but is is the Aberdeenshire coast, not somewhere warm and sunny. The food all looked good. Your style of holiday programme is not quite Judith Chalmers but it got across the 'flavour' of the place.
