Hello everyone!
Welcome back to my YouTube channel.
My March month end video is here! I have four finished objects and one frogged object for March and two new cast on’s. I also have a couple of plans for April which I am really hoping I can start!
Thank you so much for your time and I hope you enjoy.

Hi Emily, gift knitting definitely doesn't count as wips as such, neither do scrappy blankets😁 I don't have many wips but I tend to concentrate on one when I want to finish it. I also put anything with just ends to sew in, toes to kitchener etc in a separate basket and do them when I'm in the mood to clear the basket!
Xx
Good luck with your project timelines! I always keep my gift items separate from my regular knits. The gifts have a deadline where my regular items don't. Though that means I knit less for myself so this year I am pausing adding any gift items so I can actually make 2 garments for myself. Every year I rethink who is my focus for my crafts so I can spread the love (I come from a large family so it gets a bit stressful)
Beautiful FOs and WIPs, I would keep your gifts separate. Love the yarn for the shawl. Hugs ❤❤❤
Emily, are you the kind of person who could work through the WIP pile by using a "take turns" kind of strategy? Like, either choosing three to work on in a given week (or other period), and then moving on to a different three for the next week (or period)? Or perhaps working on one item for a specific period of time, say twelve hours (actual, not elapsed hours) and then moving on to another one? That's one way to peck away at a thing, knowing it's not "this one until it's done" and you can still have some variety. I know a lot of knitters struggle with cast-on-itis and languishing WIPs. Seventeen (now fourteen – yay!) doesn't actually seem like a lot compared to some podcasters I watch (Gillian on the Little Red Mitten channel started the year with 52, for example). I'm always curious to know what the motivation is for a WIP-down in the first place, and how people arrive at their "target" number. I'm a pretty focused knitter so rarely have more than three WIPs at a time. (More than that also feeds my anxiety, which I don't want.)
Hi there, I am also doing the battenberg blanket and also hate weaving in ends with a passion. But I find you only have 2 ends to weave in per square so I just do it as i finish the square and it's not bad. Sandra (Cherry heart) also has a video on making the connecting squares and doing them as you go, so check it out as it will make the whole process alot easier.
My scrappy project is the Chevron Fringe shawl, which has no ends to work in. I am enjoying the color transitions so much it's my favorite project at the moment.
