EPIC Modern Backyard MAKEOVER – Deck and Patio Build Time Lapse



In this full backyard makeover we take a boring, old patio that was falling apart and turn it into a beautiful modern backyard deck and patio! The upper deck features a small outdoor kitchen, with built in gas grill, and bar top seating. The lower deck features a built in bench and day bed area along with space for a dining table. The two tiered deck leads down to a paver patio that features a gas fire pit in a modern paver design! The highlight of this deck and patio is the feature wall we created by mixing stone, deck boards and lights! This modern design is one of my favorite backyard makeovers we have ever done, let us know what you think down in the comments!

    Very nice to have done. Too bad everyone else takes the brunt of it. We just had major construction for 9 months on one side of us and one month later we had 2 months major construction on the other side of us. It has been living hell with noise. Not fair to neighbors at all. Rude to do large projects that last that long.

    I have a curious question. I noticed at time slot 15:42 that you always seem to 45 your outside corners for stairs and seating but you never do the same for the inside corners. Can I ask why that is?

    Beautiful Deck, great job! Where's the flashing tape for the top of the framing? Pressure treated or not, the framing will rot before the lifespan of the top treads.
