I have struggled lately with what to wear my light blue jeans with. There are colors that go really well with them and others that don’t. In this video I will tell you my favorite colors to wear with any light blue jeans and show you lots of fun outfits. Shoes are also important so I will touch on those as well. I have been struggling with this a bit lately. My two pairs of lighter wash jeans are much lighter than yours. But it’s nice to know it’s been an eye opener for others too.

Thanks Jamie. Our styles are quite similar and so I always pick up new ideas from your videos. I agree 100% about contrast (which I need) but had never thought of adding the contrast via my shoes if the rest leans a bit towards too tonal. 😘

Good choices with those jeans. However, I just recently purchased a lighter wash denim than what you are showing. I imagine the same suggestions will work. I tried pairing an ivory with them, but I agree with you that white goes a lot better. Thanks, Jamie.

Interesting…I just saw another YouTuber (Anna Reid) express that pastel shades go better with light blue as it has less contrast (i.e. similar to the column of color styling) – bright colors with it being too jarring. I like both options the same. 🙂

Very helpful video, thank you so much Jamie. I struggle with lighter wash or pale colours on my lower body. Being a petite 5'1" I need to plan outfits so I don't appear even shorter. I love the pairing with your navy blazer (navy is the best "black" for my skin tone) as I have several amazing navy jackets, even a trench style coat which would elongate too. I find lighter wash denim pairs best with colours of equal intensity, for me it's my lemon blazer, the perfect partner, worn with sparkly triple layer sneakers, oh yes!

I liked seeing all your outfits. The super light wash denims are getting so prevalent, that the jeans you are styling look almost “medium wash” to me!! I have the Old Navy wide leg slouchy pair and a Loft girlfriend pair that are very light, closer to the color of the denim skirt you showed. I will keep these tips in mind as I figure out how to style those! Thanks Jamie!

Hmm….I was expecting light wash jeans. Your jeans are mid wash. I recently bought two "light" wash pairs and my favourite pairing is solid white! I also like black with my light wash jeans. I agree that solid ivory is not a good choice. Never really thought of navy but I do love navy and I agree that this would be an excellent pairing. As for brights, I don't like brights with light wash.

Easy enough. Safe classic colours. But we should mind the blue hues. Some hues are cold, others are warm. All we have to do is make sure to either keep in the warm range or cold range.

I was hoping you'd show off that great Loft boucle jacket that you shared in a previous video! I had to get it when I first saw you wear it. I love it so much. I had a good occasion to wear it last night, to a Spring Pops concert. I don't own any light wash jeans, but I wore it with a white tank and white jeans and sneakers. It looked great, but today I ordered some light wash blue jeans haha
