  1. Hey Skip; the blue flowers around the Sylvester palm are Blue Daze which is a ground cover that will cover that area around the tree. The pointy green plants are foxtail ferns, and the red bushes near the firecrackers are Nandinas. The roses are drift roses and the palms on the side are called Chinese Fans. The red plants that Skip says he has cut as well are Crotons. The little purple plants around the fountain are Oyster plants, and of course I think everyone recognizes the ever present but lovely hibiscus. It is really beautiful and we are so pleased with it! It is really spectacular at night when all the lights come on and shine through the fronds and the water on the fountain.

  2. Landscaping does make the villa look beautiful! Nice choices, Chuck and Sharon! And thank you, Skip, for the follow up video as well for including the "before" photo!

  3. FYI:  Roebelenii palm is pronounced RObelenii….as in row, row, row your boat. Not ru. The bushy, glossy green palms under by the queen palm are Livestona chinensis (common name: Chinese fan palm). Thanks for posting this video!

  4. What you would call around the tree, is a tree ring. I can't stand the Robelinis, I pulled mine out, don't like any plants with thorns.

  5. Great video explaining Chuck & Sharon's landscape update! Gorgeous plants within the new design look so relaxing. Thank you Skip, Sharon & Chuck and Julie for today's video!

  6. Wonderful follow up. Any chance they would be willing to share the cost?

  7. Thank you for sharing the end results of the landscape make over. It is beautiful. Gave me some ideas

  8. Beautiful landscaping, really enhances the house. Love seeing greenery and flowers when it is 24 degrees outside where I live.
