  1. It is very important if you want to build up the life in the soil,,,basically there are millions of microbes doing the job for you. These guys help your plants overall health and allow the correct nutrients to be taken up by the plants.
Microbes, feed on the sugars that the roots release and if you don't have microbial activity basically your soil is lifeless and your plants will be prone to disease and viruses as they have no immune system to combat attacks.

  2. So, to answer the question more clearly that i started below if you want to grow organically it's vital you remove the chlorine, as it was designed to kill bacteria, so it bumps off the good microbes too, that we vitally need for healthy soil.

  3. sounds like you going to do what i am but i wont be growing all seedlings from seed ill be cloning as much as i can

  4. Yes, cloning is the way to go for sure. I have just started taking lots of cuttings for my herbs. Once I get a bit more organized I will definitely start cloning vegetables too!

  5. good idea for you over the winter is when you mow the lawn pack your clippings all over the patch you use stops the weeds and adds lots of nitrogen and other good stuff and plenty of organic matter any bark you see on special is also great if your willing to dig it through as well

  6. well i grow organically given im in the country and chlorine content is lower than city locations is lower but i use straight tap water and i just add nutrients every so often but that is just because i want boos growth and things like pot ash and potassium nitrate and i never seam to get pest issues

  7. That's great that you are not getting the pest issues. Just be aware that chlorine was designed to kill microbes, My town the Chlorine is very strong! So I need remove it and have noticed better growth since I have made the changes.
Thanks for the comment and happy Gardening Marty
