  1. Such great progress! The GA’s rooms look lovely and I can’t wait to see the bathroom finished!

  2. You were mentioning VBS or kids programs not being practical because of the rules in France. You could, however, consider some "family camps" for parents who would like to bring their kids to Europe for a week. They could rent their own car at the same time and have their own side trips while having a short program at the chateau as well.
I love your Mr. Bingley. His presence definitely brings a lot of smiles and joy to your vlogs.

  3. Rob and Leslie: you know I come here for the inspirational renovations, brocanting, and menus, however, even though I’m just a lazy Catholic, I enjoy hearing about your pastoral journey. It’s so wonderful to learn about how you prioritize your love for Jesus and your mission to inspire young people to follow in His footsteps. I think Christianity gets a bad rap when it becomes political, because it shouldn’t be. (Really, Jesus was the OG Antifa 😀). May God bless you with the resources and faith to continue your work. ❤️

  4. Love your channel. beautiful rooms downstairs Leslie said you had pealing paint at the basement and I saw some white salt deposits on walls. There is an acid based treatment / wash for treating these walls if the paint start to peel again. This superficial treatment helps the paint last for a while. Hope it helps.

  5. Thank you Rob and Leslie for sharing your wonderful story! Your life stories brings so much inspiration to us. If we just stay still or quiet our minds from these stressful times we will hear God’s plan for each of us. I just heard that from someone in my area in that it just clicked and made perfect sense. We just have to be still and listen!😊❤

  6. Originally, peonies were single. They are making a comeback. I dug a few up over 10 years outside of an old cemetery in the US. That's where they tossed the old flowers they wanted to get rid of. Many in ditches or farmers fields.

  7. Renovation is for comfort, and that is exactly what you are accomplishing! You do what you have to do to enjoy a space. Spaces are renovated over and over again. This is for now until it is time to try something else. I am sure the graduate assistants will enjoy all of your efforts. I am amazed that those bushes have come back so wonderfully! Most chateau lost theirs and are replacing them. Kudos on your accomplishments 😊

  8. You are such wonderful fun couple. I love that you love the Lord. You have become my favorite chateau vlog. You never have to apologize for loving Christ.

  9. The volunteers bedrooms are beautiful great job guys ❤❤❤🐾👏👏👏💐🎉🥰🍷🍷🇨🇦

  10. Another wonderful video!!! Loved watching the work on the GA rooms and the final reveal…..Leslye…you are soooo talented!!! It cracks me up that you love to mow your lawn Rob! So glad your friends came to help you out…..friendship is one of life’s greatest blessings. Your Sunday story was amazing…..you never know what God has planned for you. I never “planned” on teaching preschool beyond 5 years. My goal after that was to be a stay at home mom but God has a sense of humor. This June I will have taught preschool for 40 years! 😳 The food you had looked delicious. I still don’t know how anyone can eat all of that in one sitting…😂 Thanks for sharing your life…the ups and downs and everything in between. Looking forward to when the students arrive!!!
Blessings on your next sessions with the students. 💙🙏

  11. Leslie should start a decorating YouTube channel. Too bad one of those out buildings couldn’t be converted into a small chapel the restaurant would make a great classroom

  12. Hi Leslie, the little blue flowers are Blue Bells! Keep them clear and they will come back every year in spades! They are such springtime flowers! Beautiful! I love all the work you and Rob are doing! Rob, I really do like the new light fixture! It is cool and unique! Y'all gave a great week from Nashville, Tennessee! By y'all!

  13. OMG that meal!…how much did that cost please? I think I need to do a food tour of France ☺️

  14. That food was amazing! Loved all of your video! Thank you so much for sharing your life journey!

  15. Please include the names and locations of the restaurants – they look delish, and if I'm in the area I'd love to try a few when I visit this summer. Good for you both for following your dreams. Fellow late-50-something dreamer here, too 🙂

  16. What a shame those bathroom walls are concrete. I assume that means they will eventually need to be replaced with lime mortar or drywall. 😥

  17. Rob and Leslie, FYI…
I suspect maybe the blue bathroom wall has paint flaking off because it has some dampness coming thru from the outside. Use that "Dry Lock" paint for basement walls to keep moisture from coming through the wall. It is a heavy paint. It will stop the paint from flaking off again.

  18. I'm sure enjoying your videos. I find your desire to impact the lives of young people and make the world a better place a point of light and very refreshing in the dark night of this selfish and cynical world.

  19. Doesn't the outside wall of the bathroom (the wall attached to the outside of the château) need to be plastered in lime because of moisture and condensation within the stone? I thought that drywalling and compound are a no no.

So fun to see the grounds worked on! Love the idea of waking up to those birds singing ❤

  20. Tile repair- if you had a blue 'paint pen' and could mimic the blue lines, those problem areas would REALLY disappear! At 27:16, the rainbow and the landscaping looked like a beautiful oil painting!` Girl's GA room– love the curtains! They add a big pop of solid color and warmth with fabric.

  21. The final look of the Gardener's suites is terrific. Light and casual, but with lots of class. You have both made brave choices, following your hearts. Glad you are taking a bit more time to enjoy life in France. That meal looked fantastic! We saw the white asparagus years ago when we were in Germany; they called the season "Spargelfest", and there were signs everywhere, including roadside stands. It's so fun to experience other cultures, and this is a great gift you are giving your students. 🙂
