Kitchen Window Herb Garden Ideas‼️ #shorts #urbangardening

Growing herbs like Sage, Mint, Basil, Onions, and Garlic in water on your kitchen windowsill can be a great way to have fresh herbs readily available for your cooking needs. Here are some steps to get started:

Choose your herbs: Sage, mint, basil, onions, and garlic are all great herbs to grow in water. Make sure you choose healthy, fresh stems.

Cut the stems: Cut the stems from the parent plant just below a node, which is where a leaf or a stem grows from the main stem. Each cutting should be about 4-6 inches long.
Remove lower leaves: Remove any lower leaves from the cutting that will be submerged in the water.

Place in water: Fill a glass or a jar with water and place the cutting in it, making sure the bottom of the stem is submerged in the water.

Change water: Change the water every few days to prevent the growth of algae and bacteria.

Wait for roots to form: Within a few weeks, roots should start to grow from the bottom of the stem. Once the roots are about an inch long, you can transfer the herb to a pot or container with soil.

Place in sunlight: Place the pot or container in a sunny spot on your windowsill and make sure to water it regularly.

Keep in mind that some herbs may not thrive in water and may need soil to grow properly. Additionally, while growing herbs in water can be a fun and easy way to start an indoor herb garden, the plants may not grow as large or produce as much as they would if grown in soil.

Enjoy life, enjoy family, enjoy your garden!
