Garden Tour April-Growing Food in Front Yard-Container Gardening-Compost in Place-Vegetables-Part 2

Long Spring Garden Tour done in 3 Parts, this is part 2 Vegetable Garden; setting up flower pots, container gardens, planting in totes, using any type of plant pot to grow vegetables and herbs. My goal this season is to grow great food, vegetables of all kinds, easy and fast, and I goal is to help anyone that wants to watch and/or do the same. Growing Papaya, greens like collard, tree collard, kale, Swiss Chard, red Swiss Chard, walking onions, red vein sorrel, green sorrel, lemon verbena, chocolate mint, orange mint, peppermint, dino kale, mushroom plant, garlic chives, purple kale, pepino, thyme, all kinds of herbs and so much more. I plant so many vegetable plants in both large containers and even in small pots, like nursery pot and flower pots. Growing food everywhere, as the days start to get warmer and stay warm. To prepare to grow is easy, layer all the garden matter and kitchen waste, like food peelings, egg shells, spoiled foods, rotten food, coffee grinds, most anything that will work for your garden, all will break down to create perfect soil. NO turning for me, just pile and grow, be it the ground, large tub or plant pot (like a flower pot you get from the nursery), all will work for many types of foods you can grown.

  1. I wish I could grow avocado plant . I have in past but can not get to grow anymore. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

  2. Morning Robbie love your videos. Where do you order your seeds from I cannot go to the store because of my age. I want to start planting my vegetables now that our weather has warmed up.

  3. That's such a good idea to get seeds and cuttings from the biggest happiest plants because they like their home best. Makes total sense. Idk if that's a commonly known thing, I'm kind of a beginner.

  4. Do you have a lot of bees? I live in an agricultural area. All the pesticides sprayed has killed the bees. I try to hand polinate, but the results are not as good as natural polination. You'd think living in a southern rural area would be great for gardening, but it's not.

  5. for the upside down planter, plant some succulents that flowers for the hummingbirds and bees and it will add colors to your garden.

  6. Always enjoy your garden tours. This was a good amount of time for the garden tour. Also enjoy you crafty tips videos.

  7. Robbie since you don’t like / use strawberry mint are you keeping around for mulching ? I too am thinking about strategically redesigning my garden …this year if I don’t eat it or it does t have a purpose I have no choice but to toss it ( into the compost) ☺️

  8. I seen a hummingbird yesterday feeding on my hibiscus plant. I was so excited because I haven't seen any hummingbirds in my yard before.

  9. Okay what's the difference between the wall with the totes…and the wall with the shade in the driveway on the first video!! You could almost do the same thing there in the driveway on the 90% shade wall with what your doing with the totes?? Just an idea!! Cheers!!

  10. Do you put green weeds in your compost tubs? I have a bucket for clean up which has become a default compost bucket. LOL

  11. I am looking to buy a home now because I am not allowed to grow tree kale as big as I want boo hoo. Gardening is my motivation. I luv u guys

  12. Kitty is such a cutie patootie! So sweet. I love that she is scanning the garden looking for a goodie💖I can’t wait to try your gardening tips this year Robbie.
