In Episode 3 of the Spring Garden Planting Series, we’re seed starting in April by planting the Mexican Hat Flower in a container on my small, patio garden in Zone 9B in Northern California. The Mexican Hat Flower is a perennial and typically germinates in 21 – 28 days and it grows 2 – 3 feet tall. This plant attracts pollinators and it is a proliferous bloomer.
