  1. Verbena will root if you can find a staple to keep it in one spot.
Easy rooting is the reason I buy verbena. That and the lace – iness

  2. I’m liking Locke Riser’s idea. The least amount of work for u and the least use of paper, plastic etc. make it fun. Like having picture stations at parties have a sign for each tray and a little light colored piece of plastic or paper where they can lay one of the plants down next to the plant name. Maybe even have the plant name in the ‘backdrop’.

  3. We bought plants from Creekside early this spring. All the azaleas have bloomed fabulously, and have dropped all blooms. One of the peonies had 3 huge blooms, that I lost in the recent rains. My dahlias are budding. The canna are huge. And the echinacea are finally growing. I need more stuff. If you happen to find you have extra plants lying around, let me know. Lol Btw you're the busiest person I know, and always look fabulous. I on the other hand, wear my oldest, ugliest clothes to work in my muddy flower beds.

  4. Why do you put compost on the bottom? Why not mix within your potting soil? Please advise… need guidance!

  5. Your patio area is beautiful, but I really loved watching the process of you designing the planting. My husband thinks I am crazy when I am doing it . Nice timing on the rain .

  6. I know what you mean Jenny about “yellow” this year! I want it everywhere! Makes me feel so happy!
Thank you for yours and Jerry’s wealth of information that you pass along to us! We learn so much!

  7. This was such a fun video for me because I can't plant my annuals for another month yet, but I'm chomping at the bit. You made me laugh when you looked up the new dahlia order and decided to keep them all….that would be me!!

  8. These are going to be gorgeous! Thank you for sharing with us.

  9. I love how you show your placement planning. I can stand there for far too long trying to find their perfect new home!

  10. Biotone fertilizer is not available in my area of northern Indiana, is there something else that can be used?

  11. I’ve been thinking about the Clematis since you planted in the berm… I wondered if you might plant that in your boxes as well. Would it make a good spiller? If it trails well, it sure would be a beauty there. Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration you offer up day after day. Has me itching to get out there.

  12. I think these flower boxes are gonna be my favorite ones you have done!! Can't wait to see them in their full glory. 😍

  13. Those yellow begonias are fabulous. Your whole planting is going to be a showstopper. I remember how pretty it was last year too:)

  14. Awesome. Can’t Wait to see them at their peak conditions. Don’t forget to update all these garden work. All the best

  15. The verbena were my favorite of them all today. I do hope you will film how you set up the drip system to the baskets, as I need to do the same thing and have no idea how to do that! All of the plants are beautiful and those boxes are going to look gorgeous as they fill out. Thanks so much!

  16. Beautiful! The begonias are stunning!! You can add the dahlias to the berm and latch them to the fence….boom…done!

  17. Very pretty. I see an outdoor (small) carpet and a little bistro table and chairs in this spot with a plant on the center of the table. I know you may have to wait for the sun to set but what a lovely place to sit with flowers surrounding you. Ahhhh!

  18. The boxes and the hanging baskets look so beautiful. I was wondering when you put the compost in the bottom and then the potting soil do you mixed it up some. Thanks so much for your help. New gardener here. 🙂

  19. I’ve never seen begonias so big!! Beautiful! I’m going to have to stick with things that don’t need a lot of care so I believe we’ve settled on containers.
