  1. I'm only harvesting radishes. Some lettuce, most of it has been eaten away. Probably not from pests either. I have a feeling my dogs are the guilty parties. They lettuce looks like something took a big chomp out of them. Oh I did nibble on a baby carrot the other day. That made my day. 😁

  2. I'm a brand new viewer. I grew up on a farm and while we didn't produce anything to sell other than cattle…we did refer to ourselves as farmers. I don't think the distinction is of great value although I do note your thoughtful reasoning. If you have chickens or rabbits, I would be even more inclined to call you farmer 🙂 I am searching for land to move to and I would be interested in any tips you have for setting up the garden 🙂

  3. It's always funny watching YouTube and seeing how different people's local climates are. I live in an area with much more variability in the climate, so my spring and fall last for just a few weeks each. It's hard to grow cool season crops here because we go from too cold to get any growth on them to sun baking them really quickly. My mustard has all bolted. My corn, peppers, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, melons, and even okra are all in, though, and I planted them later than I should have.

  4. Its a good job I have a small patio garden it's fun gardening I add a new fruit or bushes trees I enjoy it from Maryland

  5. I enjoyed this video. It’s a month old, but still apropos. Where’s the sun today?
It’s quite cool here in Kalama.

  6. Thank you for the information on the greenhouse, I seem to have missed the video when it first posted! The information was very helpful, I'm still considering the idea. As a fellow hip replacement patient I can relate to the situation, I hope you are healing quickly. Thanks again for the information.

  7. Right now it is in the high 90’s in Washington State. It o my happens for a couple days and then back in the 70’s. My plants look horrible. I haven’t been able to harvest anything except I did get a bumper crop of strawberries all summer. My question is how to get more leaves. My tomato plant is usually nice a green but that and some other plants, well, their leafs are scarce or looks horrible. I have looked for pests. I do t know but I don’t have high hopes this season ..

  8. Good luck with the marigolds. I’ve had tremendous success growing marigolds from seeds of last year’s plants. Growing on the Mississippi Coast…

  9. Your gardening is a hobby. Im thinking of doing what your doing to my front garden because it is huge and off to the side of my house. I like your video I will go watch more. Thank you and love your thoughts.

I’m sad my growing season is coming to an end. My plans for the off season is to learn as much as I can about gardening and making videos. I’d love it if we could learn more from each other!

  13. Very good explanation! I'm also an urban gardener and I garden for pleasure also, so mo pressure or worry about the results of my efforts . Your garden is absolutely beautiful!

  14. We`ve got allotments here in London, assigned by local councils to whoever wants to do gardening. Your garden looks beautiful. You`re doing a great job. ❤

  15. You mentioned maybe collecting rainwater in the future? I remember being shocked to learn that was illegal in Oregon. Is it still? Or just certain places, or did that get corrected. By the way I’m a native Oregonian. Not a Native American just in case anyone wants to question that.

  16. Love LOVE Love your pages grew up in Portland now in Klamath Falls and learning so much . here thanks David
