My Creekside gomphrena was still blooming profusely at Halloween last year! I remember b/c we had a monarch emerge that night and I was so grateful to have such a great plant to put him on! (And yes, for gardeners, plants are a love language and I remember where/when/who each plant came from)

I just went plant shopping at our local nursery with my husband. They had very few PW plants. Very disappointing. Wish they were like your nursery. Was able to buy a couple.
My mom has given up on hanging baskets – they always get torn apart by squirrels or birds nest in them. Any recommendations to prevent that?

May I ask a pruning question? I think my shantung maple has anthracnose (not as bad as the mulberry, that poor tree) when do I prune it? I've read maples should be pruned in summer, but anthracnose should be pruned out in the winter. I've never dealt with this before, I don't want to kill my tree, but there are extra leaders that need to come off and it needs more airflow 😰

Ms Jenny, you are spot on about plants holding memories for a gardener! You always remember when a special person gifted you with a lovely plant, rose, shrub or tree! Most of my favorite things have been from gardens from my uncles, which were from my Grandmother's. Your comment made me smile!
Hello Jenny and Jerry , please HELP , I always buy plants that say they don't need dead heading such as Superbells Yellow Calibrachoa. If I don't pinch off the spent blooms they stop blooming, what am I doing wrong? Love your videos an wish I lived near your nursery, I am in Southern Maryland zone 7B
