  1. Creatine has been around since I was in high school and all my friends that workout have taken creatine monohydrate it's the most well researched exercise supplement in the world and no it doesn't cause baldness the science does not show that at all.

  2. My partner doesn’t like working out and he’s only 30 and already has atrophied forearms. I’ve told him he’s going to have to start lifting weights. How to convince men😅

  3. what I learned by reading some stuff from Ray Peat is low blood sugar requires the body to convert fats/proteins to sugar to get sugar up to correct levels and to do that the stress level of the body is jacked up to make this conversion…. stress hormones have longterm negative effects over the decades

  4. Mike, I would like to get your take on monohydrates versus HCL creatines. I personally don't get the same good strength and endurance outcomes from monohydrates as I do HCL, plus the most noticeable difference with me, is that monohydrates bloat me and cause constipation.

I know when taking creatine you're supposed to drink more water than normal to mitigate constipation.

HCL seems to give me more endurance during a workout (I super-set at the gym) and I can sqeeze out an extra 2-5 reps in a set, plus I don't get bloated or constipated with HCL.

I find its hard to get HCL. Apparently there is a global shortage. Would love to get your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

  5. If you eat a lot of meat you will get plenty of creatine. No need for supplements if you have a good diet! Spend your money on food, not pills and powders.

  6. Walking daily and swimming a couple days a week are the best exercise practice for seniors. I also take collagen peptides powder post workout,, will start creatine to optimize health benefits. Thank you.

  7. Can anyone suggest a good creatine brand if I can't get this one? I live in Canada, thanks!

  8. “The two sides of creatine”

    Trends in cell biology

Recently, emerging studies have demonstrated the promoting effect of creatine on cancer metastasis. Orthotopic mouse models revealed that creatine promoted invasion and metastasis of pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, and breast cancer. Thus, creatine possesses considerably complicated roles in cancer progression.
In most cancer types, high creatine levels are correlated with accelerated cancer progression.
Despite the evidence having demonstrated the antitumor role of creatine, emerging studies have indicated that creatine promoted cancer progression, particularly enhanced cancer invasion and metastasis.

  9. Why exercise? I can't believe people would say that! Flexibility and strength is key to a longer, healthier life. Seeing what happens as we age, I know that if you don't use it, you ABSOLUTELY lose it!

  10. I disagree that carbs are needed for workout. I was metabolically sick on a whole food carb heavy diet. Since going off carbs and using ketones, my metabolic health has gone from insulin resistant to back to where I was 25 years ago. My athletic performance has also gotten far better on ketones as opposed to carb loading.

  11. My labs flagged my creatinine level high at 1.35. Most likely as a result of my physical activity but I understood this as a problem with kidney function.

  12. What I learned is eat protein after exercise, hen 30 min after can eat carbs, otherwise for people w IR it will not be good to eat carbs after exercise.

  13. Hey Mike, when will shipping to Europe be available? I would love to get your electrolyte supplement with creatine!

  14. I just started watching again after getting tired of the antivax… only to find its too much product promotion now. Big turnoff

  15. I’m curious if you’re speaking about the same thing as you are pronouncing it two different ways. Cree-ah-teen = Creatine. Correct?

  16. Here's the sad reality of aging. I'm 74 years old and have been weight lifting ever since I left school over fifty years ago. Now I'm plagued with arthritis and basically, worn out joints and and a damaged spine with stenosis and pinched nerves causing foot drop.
I continue to exercise four days a week for about 90 minutes each workout. But it's impossible to maintain muscle despite exercise and doing all the things you mention here. You're still young and will soon find out when you are in your seventies that nothing can stop aging and muscle loss. Sorry to tell you this.
I was once runner-up to Mr. Rhodesia in 1971 but that was a long time ago.
