  1. Maybe bird sand is lighter (but still not really white). I love this idea of keeping it simple for the two planters.
Do you actually visit your palms during the winter?

  2. I hadn't heard that about the orange petunias. Seems they were actually genetically engineered, not virused, and hadn't been registered as such. I don't know why there is such a row about a petunia carrying a gene from corn. Big deal, they are both plants. Reading on it, they did get approval for sale in the US in June 2021 but I guess they haven't brought them back in for sale (only Westhoff in Germany can produce them).
I bought some more of the scented geranium plugs because why not. One of each flavor, right? I've never tried growing them in ground so we'll see how they do. I'd like some big bushy plants that I can walk by and run my hand over and get a whiff of different scents.

  3. Jeff, I’ve always enjoy seeing your palms delivered! I love your plant choices and tropical designs! I can't wait to see your next video! Take care!😊

  4. Ive been listening to Jeff talk about his beloved palms for over 5yrs (2017?)
And gotta say… It doesn't get old 😊 I love it

  5. I'd love there to be a service in the uk where we could outsource larger palmcare over our winter. Would open up a world of opportunity. I guess though the market for that over here is pretty small, at least for now

  6. Ohhhh I LOVE watching them bring the palms in! Now it feels like summer!
    Love the florida naner'!
The new palms are cool. If they are Gaussia, maybe attenuata or maya? Are the fronds plumose or pinnate? That Hibiscus is my favorite. It goes by Fiesta here, or at least there's one called fiesta that looks similar.
Choconianas look good! My big pot of them overwintered well this year and I should have blooms by the start of summer.
Don't forget I have your dwarf psittacorum growing as well (pink and yellow)!
Also: for the white sand – we have it in lowes in back back where the masonry stuff is. Its play sand and very white.

  7. Always exciting to see your Palms arrive. I know it really made you happy. You really have done a great job spreading out all the colors of the impatiens. No I would have commented on the supertunia pink being wrong. I want to know why you are not repotting that Queen over near the umbrella it looks very root bound. Your heliconias really look great health. I divided mine after spending sometime in my garage over winter and seem to always have to cut back lots of stalks from previous winter. I like the hibiscus but due to heat here in Florida I struggle keeping blooms. Really looking good my friend

  8. the palms in the blue pots by the pool, look like small bottle palms… where are you located? I am in nj and i do my yard every year with palms trees and tropical plants

  9. Thanks so much for all you do to make these videos and keep us updated on your amazing garden! I'm also testing the Persimmon Supertunias. Here in Zone 6, they are in a large raised bed in my hummingbird area. It appears to be a new introduction this year. We also have the Bubblegum (immediate favorite) and Royal Magenta (also new to us) in their own spaces. If the other two are even close to Bubblegum in vigor, they will be hits!

  10. Wow another broken umbrella love your palm trees Jeff how old are they? You have a new fan Snowball the cockatoo interested in the palm trees he puffed all up when he saw your fingers. He nibbles hard but no bites. Getting ready to put trans plants out. Dalah, tomatoes. 100 petunias I had them separated by color. I misted them up mostly purple shades. The dalah from seeds grew fast. Have to plant the giant zenias direct. Have lots of sunflowers. Found pretty chocolate colored ones. You inspire me to try to grow different seeds. I have a couple amaryllis seeds sprouted in water. My porch is perfect to harden the plants off mostly shade little sun. Happy growing.

  11. Everyone reading this, I just want to let you know that JESUS IS COMING SOON. As most of us can contest the world is getting darker every day. We all broke our creator GOD ALMIGHTY laws and owed a debt we could never pay but GOD loved us so much that HE sent his SON JESUS to die a death he did not deserve for our sins paying it for us. IT IS FINISHED!He loves us so much y’all! Hell was never made for us! We are called to REPENT, admit that we have fallen short (sinned) and put our trust in the promised savior JESUS and ask him to be our LORD. HE will give you everlasting life with HIM! HE change my life and part of my purpose on this earth is to share HIS good news(GOSPEL). I LOVE YOU! REPENT AND TRUST IN JESUS!❤✝️

  12. Finally got around to some potting/repotting, but theres more to do. But i started to mow my lawn & then rain started. So I need to finish that today…if we dont get more rain.

Although i kept getting annoyed with potting yesterday. You think you got all your tools ready, oops no need this, and that, and that…and that, dont forget about this!

But im enjoying the quiet & heat while I can as I stitch outside. (Its a bit humid out, but no mosquitoes currently.)

I lower my umbrella when not in use as i dont want to buy new ones all the time. The rope breaking is our usual problem and until something breaks that we cant fix (restringing is a nuisance, but cheaper than a new umbrella) we don't need new ones. So if it becomes windy, i put down the umbrella and basically dont leave it unattended. But yours shouldn't break as quickly as they have been…could the removal of your neighbors trees have changed how breezes & wind move through your yard?
