  1. Good to see you back .I pray the rough place doesn’t prove anything dangerous .I love the stairs spray butter milk over the stairs that will encourage moss .I love to watch your progress as you build this life together .Sending blessings your way .

  2. Maybe some temporary shelves racks/table made with the leftover pallets would help you keep things off the ground? More work I know….

  3. Don’t go on another retreat big fella. Not because l missed you as much as l worry about what they do to your head.
    Terraces looking good👍

  4. Just a question….will you be taking all of the vines off of the stone walls around the cottage? I know that the vines destroy the mortar in the walls and can destroy walls and it would be awful to see the walls damaged by these vines. Everything you are doing is amazing and is improving your living conditions greatly. I am really enjoying your vlogs. Thank you!

  5. Hi good to have you back, enjoy all your blogs.

  6. Great episode. You reminded me of Arnie Shwarzenegger as The Terminator when you put the shades on but that instantly changed when you started on the poetry [which was delivered very professionally]. I got a totally different prospective of the whole build when you explained your plans for the house/garden from the top terrace , it's going to be sensational. You will easily get away with passing the garden steps off as an older structure. I have a [disused] pigsty in my garden built about 1900 [same as our cottage]. Surrounding the concrete apron of the pigsty are 3ft high sandstone slabs one of which has very weathered [unreadable] writing on and a faded date starting 16??, it was obviously once a gravestone reused as a solid barrier to keep the pigs in the sty area. We tell everyone our cottage dates from the same time as the headstone. We've even go on to involve the black death /plague/ghostly goings on around the pig sty etc just to frighten the crap outta the kids at Halloween it's great, and for all I know someone did the engraving a 100 years ago to pull the wool over our eyes. lol. Cant wait for the next episode and for Nadine's return.

  7. #Makita , how can you ignore this love declaration from a seafarer turned poet !!!???
Why don’t you apply for a European Health Card from Nederland which will give you; as European ;the same rights in France as the french people for health care .
    Bonne continuation!

  8. Try dabbing a little hydrogen peroxide on that dry patch on your nose daily. Should clear up in about two weeks. I used to bake myself in the sun in my youth so dry patches are just a thing with me. But the HP works! (I'm not a doctor. If it doesn't go away, then you need to see one.)
    Cheers from North Carolina USA

  9. Can’t you have a procedure done in France and then be reimbursed by your Dutch insurance ? Within the EU it would seem logical. You could always get a French mutuelle as well ? Loving your poetic moments amidst the grime 😊

  10. A captain, a creator, a carpenter, a cement contractor, a comedian, a cool dude and a poet (sorry couldn't think another word with a C). The yard is coming together quite nicely. Yes, it may be time to pay taxes in France. I am sure they would appreciate it.

  11. Alot accomplished as usual. Thought you were going to hold off on planting until N returns?

  12. The roses are BEAUTIFUL! I wish I had them. Can you dye those stairs? I'd make each one a lighter shade of yellow than the top one.

  13. I agree with you don’t be a sellout for that product! Honesty is a true sign of character! Keep up the great job!

  14. Hi well your a dark horse a poet as well, now bravo . I agree if you dont believe in a product to advertise and you want to tell the truth about a product dont do it. Its all looking good now , the garden loving the steps alot of character to them .Loved watching.

  15. I like the poetry, your dry sense of humour and straight honesty. Here in South Africa you would be known as" 'n Man van kapasiteit."
Best wishes with your projects and endeavours.

  16. I am total impressed with your poem had me😊 from ear to ear until the end. Is that what you wrote during your meditation time?
I believe you said your Dutch, Holland is such a beautiful country I'm surprised you didn't buy there. We were station there in the late 80's early 90's loved it.
    Blessings to Nadia and you.

  17. Please Martijn, get your EHIC card. If you spend less than 181 days a year outside of Holland elsewhere in the EU, you must have it with you. This card will cover a part refund of GP expenses and dermatologist fees and more importantly it will cover A&E hospital visits. A&E is not free in France. You pay per visit in the French health system but the cost is much less with EHIC scheme. Don’t delay, get it checked. From a scientist from Auvergne fighting cancer in labs across Europe.

  18. It is a little known fact that there was a tradition in medieval France of coloring the top step of a garden staircase in slightly differently than those below, as an invocation to hospitality & good luck. While this was usually done by using a different color of sand in the mortar, a ceremonial cup of coffee or glass of wine, from a gift left during the stonemason's absence, was also added to the mix.

  19. So impressed with how things are coming along AND the future plans!! Taking care of your physical health is important but glad you also embrace taking time for your mental health!

  20. I wouldn’t put off the doc (or pharmacist) too long as these things sometimes become a bigger problem. They may say it can wait till next visit home (or to a reciprocal agreement country). They may well just use a bit of hot ice to burn off a patch. Good luck.

  21. Please get your dear nose checked as soon as possible. Could be skin cancer. If you catch it in time, it could save you a lot of pain. Maybe you should go to Holland to get it checked. YOU ARE WORTH IT. Great poetry!!!!

  22. Looking good Marius…the plans sound really nice. Its going to be a great summer and looking forward to seeing Nadia, she has a great sense of humor. Hope you won't work to hard, its good to take time for poetry!!!

  23. Maurius great to see you just keep head and face covered use sunscreen . I watched a video on antiquing concrete walls There is the method of using Yoghurt rubbed in to the concreate while also rubbing moss into the yoghurt will give you the look you want . I love the white plaster looks fabulous so great to see you again Love your style hahahah

  24. Pay to take the ivy off your lovely tree trunk…. it’s all looking great!

  25. Please get your nose checked ASAP. I have a scar on my face from having a small BCC removed. Had I gone earlier it may have been treatable with cream

  26. Makita ! Before Bosch or Milwaukee steals this guy you better get the sponsorship set up ! 😊❤
