  1. Your team’s production skills were always good but it seems like the videos have rapidly become very professional. The flow between segments, the graphics, the sound and the music are really PBS quality. And the amount of content is amazing. I am also enjoying the spin off fashion segments with your equestrian friend. A visit to the barn would be a treat.

    Reading Joshi’s Perfumist of Paris.

  2. My grandmother used to say, they're only weeds if you don't want them growing where they are! The daughter of a friend went with her bridesmaids the morning of her wedding and they all picked their own bouquets of Queen Anne's Lace growing alongside the road as well as some leafy thing. It was so beautiful! Thank you for all of your ideas.

  3. Love your cool looking outfit! Where did you find it?! Just my style for hot days! Always fun seeing your videos and getting inspiration! Hugs!

  4. Just read, The second best selling book by North Korean defector Yeonmi Park “While Time Remains”. A must read!

  5. Who would have ever thought Johnson grass seed heads would look so good with sunflowers?! Brilliant.

  6. I love tear sheets! I, too, age myself! however, once torn, forever in the mind. I can usually recall a bit of the photo or all, but I am never without a folder of tear sheets. Plus, after living in England for three years, I learned that a variety of yard greens and a few flowers go a long way in making a striking floral arrangement. Good video on a very hot day!

  7. I am currently reading The Heirloom Garden by Viola Shipman. It’s a newfound author for me and enjoying the story line. Also , I believe your weed in your vase may just be fescue grass gone to seed. So possibly not a weed at all. It is a lovely arrangement none the less. We don’t have Trader Joe anywhere near me here in Kentucky. I visited one for the first time while visiting my daughter in Charlotte, NC. The fresh flower assortment was amazing.

  8. Another inspiring video! Thx Linda and Stuart. These are MY FAVORITE videos from you. 👏 I’m not much of a gardener and I definitely appreciate your topiaries & classic garden style. However, your interior videos and sharing of signature touches, new finds and thrifted finds makes my day!!! Always a thrill! Thank you.

  9. Foraging is a great way to just slow down and take all of nature in. I look for heart shape rocks, driftwood handles for creating painting texture tools, seeds to plant or place in pretty bowls.

  10. I just finished three books about Jewish prisoners during the holocaust: The Tattoiat of Auschwitz; Cilka’s Journey, Three Sisters. All by Heather Morris.

  11. I forage for unique natural elements – pine cones, acorns, shells, air ferns, magnolia seed pods, unique branches. The McCoy vase is just wonderful. Don’t know if I like the shape or the color best, but both are stunning. I so agree, there is something magical about mindfulness!

  12. No to fruit on a mantel. Simply doesn't make sense. I can understand styling a bowl of fruit on a kitchen bench top and table.

  13. Last fall on one of my walks I collected some large acorn’s in my pockets. I brought them home and place in a bowl on my Poarch. This spring I looked and said to myself what is this on the floor. Well I believe a squirrel had come up and had some lunch. Beware of what you leave outside. Lol

  14. Linda!!!
I love it when you show us ways to decorate our homes with beautiful and thrifted items. Your style is beautiful, wonderful and so warm and delightful!! Thank you for sharing your ideas, I think of you as a dear friend. I started watching you during Covid when I was looking for positive messaging and to think about how to live beautifully during difficult times. I have since lost both of my fathers and my husband in a very short time, so you and Stewart are still a “go-to” for me to stay positive and to keep looking forward. Thank you for being my friends guys! Please don’t forget that we all love you too!! You guys give me a shot in my arm with your shows, inside and out!!❤

  15. Love the sunflower 🌻 arrangement, so beautiful ❤️❤️ Enjoyed the video today ❣️ Have a great weekend ❤️😊

  16. The book you recommended, “The well-gardened mind” is so peaceful and helpful. Thank you.

  17. My husband and I collect aa small unusual rock from every place we travel to and have put them in a beautiful brass oval bowl with antlers on each end with a beautiful scented candle in the center. So the rocks are from lakes, rivers, creeks, oceans and properties from all over the country and world! Also, we brought sand from beaches all over the world and put them in small glass containers on the mantle for my summer mantle decor along with foraged antlers, turtle shell and star fish from the beach.

  18. My husband and I were coming home from the beach thru Alabama and there were miles and miles of cotton fields. I got him to stop and pick a few branches from the overflo…….when he got back to the car he was covered in those litlle prickly triangle thingies…..sometimes foraging comes with a cost. The cotton stems are lovely in a brass pitcher though!

  19. Being Mortal is such a meaningful book. My current "Light Read" is The Things We Do for Love a novel by Kristen Hannah who is one of my favorite authors.
