  1. Robbie ❣️ so glad hearing and seeing you again ❣️❣️❣️ Great video full of informations as always 👏 I had problem once with a bag of soil that it had many pieces of plastics. I put it all to my pots that I collect all the dead leaves and use it again… I can't throw away any soil.
Now I'm using a soil from a company that costs 12euros 70ltr and its the best. This spring I only used one bag fir my entire balcony gardens. Cause I already have great soil from the whole winter that I planted and composted in place, like you tought us🌟 with some leaf matters and kitchen scraps it will be fine.
I have earthworms now too Robbie ❣️ I've bought some plants from the flower shop and they had earthworms!!! I have them in my biggest tote with a zucchini and some layerings and feeding them. I hope they are happy 😊💗
Thank you so much Robbie for everything you teach us❣️ God bless your family 🙏 So happy to seeing you again ❣️🌟🌻

  2. I purchased a good 10 bags of miracle grow. All of them had milipedes in them which are now all over my yard now. I won't touch miracle grow if they were giving it away.

  3. On tube, I READ: (U WONT BELIEVE!!) …they are now using cremated remains of folks into making potting soil!! I don't know which kind, etc…u can research if u don't believe. Takes the thrill out of gardening and planting fruits n veggies..BTW, I don't make my own potting soil, but now is the time to fo it.
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS, THANK YOU KINDLY.

  4. Robbie, do you use worms in your starting soil, if so, when n what type do you use??? Thank you brains.

  5. WOW…wish I saw this video before I spent hundreds on soil!…well so called soil!…I was wondering why I was seeing cloth and what looked like wire in some of the bags!! Thought it got in there by accident!! Will def have to start making my own!

  6. The first soil I bought was not that good. My first garden. Second batch was much better. Two different types, both at Walmart, and the cheapest one was out of stock so I got the other kind. I will not buy the first one I bought EVER again. At first I thought it was me being a first timer. Then it hit me, everything I planted in the first soil was not growing, while the rest was growing like crazy. IT'S THE SOIL!!! LIVE AND LEARN

  7. Just want to share my experience purchasing bagged topsoil from Home Depot last year. It was FULL of junk, lots of bits of plastic, even found a full plastic fork.

  8. I’m new at gardening and it’s amazing how much I don’t know. Thank-you for sharing all your knowledge. I’m finding it to be very helpful. 🌸

  9. I love this channel, its just full of valuable information, great education that is well taught. Certainly deserves their own T.V show..point blank.

  10. Thank you so very much for taking your time to share with us. I have learn a ton with you.

  11. This happened to me this year. I made my own mix with peat and compost / manure and topsoil mix brown save money filling large grow bags. Two out of my five 15 gallon had no seedlings grow. They germinated and then completely stopped and some turned yellow or red. Other containers had no issue. I didn’t write down what was different in those two but specifically but I’m thinking the culprit was a chicken manure/ compost mix from Walmart.

  12. My squash and zucchini have powdery mildew! They say it's harmless but I'd sure like to get rid of it. Love, love Robbie and Gary's gardening.

  13. Yes, I read all the labels on the potting 'soil". I also look at the opened bags to see what is inside

  14. Hi Robbie,. I just love your videos. I have learned that herbacides do not kill grass and corn is a grass. Saw a video that said people buy manure or use it if grass is growing in it and it kills the garden. U could grow corn in the other soil as u let your scraps break down and use it in couple years. Don't remember if it takes two or three years for herbicides harmful effects to die. Thanks for all your uplifting videos. I agree about maggots…I feed them to my Chickies.

  15. I believe the herbicide you are talking about is grazon. I have only recently learned about this issue. So anyone that fed hay that was treated with grazon to their horse or cows, that herbicide is passed into the manure you may be using as fertilizer for your garden. I also used the bagged cow manure/ compost just recently as an amendment when planting seedlings this year. I mixed it with worm castings in each planting hole. So far I'm not seeing any problems maybe because it was such a small amount and the rest of my garden soil is compensating for it. I will not buy it again. I'm told it is safe to buy chicken manure/compost because chickens don't eat hay. But what if they used hay as bedding and it would be mixed in the manure. So for many reasons I am glad I found your channel and your all natural approach to growing healthy food. I have a bag of that garden line brand of soil I will be isolating to its own tote and like you amend it with scraps and leaves and such. Thank you so much for mentioning this issue.

  16. Wow, Robbie! (New subscriber here) This was just the best video! I helped my daughter build her raised bed a several years ago. She had great growth for about 3 months and we wondered why. Now we know! Im going to make my own compost tea and I'm going to watch your videos on making my own soil. Thank you so much!
